Macuilcuetzpalin
In the Mexica pantheon, there are five Gods who are the embodiment of excess, overindulgence, pleasure and drunkenness.
They are known as Ahuiateteo , "Gods of pleasure" or as Macuiltonaleque "Spirits of days 5", (because all their calendrical names start with this number).
Today we're showing you the concept art of Macuilcuetzpalin (5 Lizard), the God of pleasure, whose body is painted in black ink. Designed by our concept artist Josue Diaz with the features of our very own Creative Director and founder Guillermo Alarcon.
Macuilcuetzpalin is characterized for his warrior-like attributes, being the only one out of the five Gods wielding darts and a distinctive shield (chimalli).
