UI icons: work in progress

Dear dwellers of Mictlan, today we present to you one of the first proposals for the UI icons which you will find in the game and in the world map.

You'll be able to see and interact with these icons which will become part of the game, the menus, the UI etc.
These icons will allow you to identify different elements in the game, like types of enemies, primary and secondary missions, done and undone tasks, collectibles, NPCs, stores, important places, etc.

As you can see, the quality of the work of our artists is reflected not only in the art that we constantly show you every day, behind our characters and environments, but also in the graphic design elements, which are also very important to live an immersive experience.

What do you think of our WIP?

Spanish soldiers with Mesoamerican armor

Hello Mictlan community!

Each day brings us closer to the creation of our dream, each day our team is at work to make Mictlan a reality!

Today’s concept art is a group of Spanish soldiers with Mesoamerican armor and weapons.

Several specialized authors and chroniclers have reported that there was a technological exchange between Spanish soldiers and indigenous groups who, in some cases, adopted swords and other metal weapons, while the Spaniards adopted some indigenous garments like the ichcahuipilli, granting more protection to the invaders that didn’t have armor.

Pre-Hispanic Cotton Armor

Hello, Mictlan's community!

Today, we bring you a concept art of the indigenous warriors, wearing the classic ichcahuipilli or cotton armor.

Are you ready to face the dangers that lurk in Mictlan?
Would you like to know more about the pre-Hispanic cotton armor?

Well, according to some authors, the ichcahuipilli was an armor very widespread in the Mesoamerican area, used for its comfort and for the protection it gave to the warriors.
Nobles used to wear a suit over these armor, which highlighted them and gave them, in addition to protection, a fearsome appearance, also connected to religion, rituals and spiritual meanings.

It would help us immensely if you decide to sign up to our Kickstarter campaign.
