Devlog #8 - Meet The Team!
Hello friends! The cat’s out of the bag - Tell Me Your Story’s full version is coming to Steam and Nintendo Switch on the 26th of April!

Because of this, I have a special edition TMYSlog for you – and it's all about the devs! 🐶

Let’s start Devlog #8 - 🧠 Meet The Team 📅 where you can get to know more about the people at the core of Tell Me Your Story!
Meet Inez "Neska" Górska Brzezińska – Game Designer and Producer of Tell Me Your Story.

I'm a game designer and producer, fueled by a pot of Earl Grey tea and a passion for creating accessible and meaningful games for everyone. With nearly a decade of experience in both product creation and project management, I'm a strong advocate for broad accessibility in gaming.

Inspired by the work of Roberta Williams, I believe games can be powerful cultural experiences. I strive to create titles that not only entertain but also carry positive values.

While I started my game development journey as an indie developer, I now thrive in collaborative teams, channeling my passion into crafting immersive gaming experiences. After hours, you might find me unwinding by caring for my flock of eight finches (always a lively bunch!) or maybe sketching some game concepts!

Meet Kamila “KamFox” Osińska – 2D Artist on the Tell Me Your Story team.

I’ve been working as a 2D artist for about 3 years now. What I love the most in working as an artist is bringing things to life with form and color, exploring how can I capture their essence in a unique way. My favorite subjects to draw include everyday objects, food, and animals. My favorite video games are Outer Wilds and The Witness.

Meet Karolina "lirei" Wójt – 2D Artist on the Tell Me Your Story team.

I'm a 2D artist and animator, specializing in character animation and illustration. Initially, I aimed for a career in science, but my passion for drawing took over. After studying animation and interactive graphics, I found my true joy in bringing characters to life through drawing and animation, such as creating Granny Rose, Amelia, and Peanut from TMYS.

I've worked on various projects involving game art, animation, illustration, and character design. While I favor cel animation, I also enjoy exploring different art forms, like for example creating game assets, which has allowed me to view everyday objects in a creative light, that I really appreciate.

In my free time, I enjoy individual sports and learning about true crime and interesting science facts. Currently, my favorite game is Genshin Impact:)

Meet Paulina Czapla – Developer on the Tell Me Your Story team.

I've been working as a Unity Developer for two and a half years, but I was interested in game development even before that. My passion is putting ideas into actual life and improving solutions. Watching the results of my work gives me the greatest satisfaction. I enjoy working on 2D games the most, but I'm not afraid to try new things. After work, I love spending time with my dog, going on hiking trips, and playing video games. My favorite genre is metoidvania, and my favorite game is Hollow Knight. I also love open-world games such as Zelda and Spider-Man.
Big thank you TMYS team for taking the time and giving Peanut the chance to interview them!

Special thanks go to two people, without whom the creation of Tell Me Your Story would not have been possible - Dominik Czarniga and Marta Raczyńska-Wasiak. Dominik, as the Creative Director, supports all in-house projects and makes them a reality – he is one of our studio’s pillars. Meanwhile, Marta, the Marketing Director, came up with the concept of the game and background story bits, adding some sweets and bitters.

Can’t wait to see what you guys will think about Tell Me Your Story’s full version 🐶🥜 until the next devlog, my friends!

Peanut out!
Tell Me Your Story is coming to Steam (and Switch!) on the 26th of April!
A whirlwind of memories, mysteries, and logical puzzles around the world, on top of and a precious intergenerational bond! Tell Me Your Story, a relaxing adventure straight from independent developer RedDeer.Games, will premiere on Steam and Nintendo Switch consoles on April 26!
Delve into a globetrotting tale straight from the pages of a diary...! Tell Me Y
In Tell Me Your Story, a beautifully illustrated cozy game, players take on the role of a girl named Amelia. She spends vacations, with her dog Peanut, in the cottage of her grandmother, to which the latter has just moved.

While helping her grandmother clean up, the girl makes a surprising discovery and learns that Grandma Rose was a world traveler in her youth! Thus begins a shared journey through the memories.

Thanks to her grandmother's stories (and her own vast imagination) Amelia will get to discover the Amazon rainforest, cross the Yunnan province in China, and ride the Orient Express to unearth some very important sneak peaks from Roses life.

The game is like an interactive flip book dairy filled with some simpler and harder puzzles to solve under the watchful eye of Grandma Rose, who will be there to help at any time if needed.

Discovering the history of her family, Amelia will understand the unique connection between her and her grandmother.

The girl will learn that despite the differences in generations, she and her grandmother were both guided in life by the same thing – a relentless curiosity about the world, which literally pushed young Rose out of the family home to experience the world firsthand.

Devlog #7 - Soundtrack & Audio Sneak Peek
Hello friends!
Peanut here with our 7th TMYSlog – 🎧 Soundtrack & Audio Sneak Peek 🎤

Say hi to Wyatt Barclay – the composer behind Tell Me Your Story’s lovely tunes! I had the pleasure to ask him a few important questions about himself and his work on the game’s soundtrack.
Wyatt's journey with composing music began at six years old when he got his first electronic keyboard. He draws inspiration from incredible composers such as Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer, and Vangelis, but what made him want to pursue the craft professionally was seeing The Phantom of the Opera.

The opening musical number with the rising chandelier completely terrified me, and I became obsessed with trying to recreate that feeling with music. – Wyatt Barclay, Tell Me Your Story’s Composer.

He worked closely with Inez Górska-Brzezińska – Tell Me Your Story’s Game Designer and Producer, when establishing the process of making music for the game. Each level had its foundations, which Wyatt built on and then revised. What made the process efficient was his balance of a clear framework along with a healthy dose of room to experiment ⚗🎵
When it came to picking instruments, the most important information was the location and time period of each chapter. Every track became a variation of one central melody, with different instruments and moods, but with similar ideas – similar to how New Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo works.

When I asked Wyatt if the music was there to bump up the coziness or add to the plot of the game he said that both were equally important – on one side the music had to be inviting across the board, but it also has to communicate a lot about the story.

Since the game is meant to be very inviting, but also very emotional at the same time, my main focus was making music that effectively communicated those emotions without becoming too intrusive. The best case scenario is that the player isn’t thinking consciously about the music, but that it subconsciously evokes certain feelings while they play. – Wyatt Barclay, Tell Me Your Story’s Composer.

To conclude this TMYSlog, and our musical journey, Wyatt told me more about this favorite track 🐶🎤

My favorite track is definitely the one in the final chapter, which culminates everything that has been going on musically in the game up to that point. I like that it can act as an emotional conclusion, whilst simultaneously reminding the player of the journey they went on as they played the game. – Wyatt Barclay, Tell Me Your Story’s Composer.
Big thanks to Wyatt for taking the time to answer my questions and letting our community know more about himself and the wonderful music of Tell Me Your Story! 👏

I am now on my way to listen to all the audio tracks included in our demo and be a cozy pup with style 🐶🍵

Toodaloo, friends!
Peanut out~
