#12 SimRail DevLog - High Definition Render Pipeline
Hello, Railfans!
Sorry we didn't speak for a long time, but made huge changes to the graphics engine for you!One of the most important changes is the replacement of the outdated display engine Unity Built-in with the Unity High Definition Render Pipeline.
This has opened up a number of opportunities that we will try to present to you.
Here are the most important of them:
š better lighting & shading model
š volumetric fog & light
š NVIDIA DLSS support
š better anti-aliasing
š procedural grass
š better reflection quality
š subsurface scattering
š repaired thickness of the catenary wires
and much more!

In the next devlog, we will tell you a bit about the new SimRail vehicles, as well as have a surprise for you regarding the collaboration with the new global publisher of the game.
We are also preparing a roadmap for you containing the most important works that have to be done before the premiere. This has been planned for the second quarter of 2022.
