[Major Announcement] Price Reduction & Compensation Notice - 2025/06/20

[p]We are permanently lowering the base price of the game from USD 9.99 to USD 7.99. This is not a temporary sale but a permanent adjustment to our base pricing. Other regions price adjustments will apply accordingly.[/p][p]To compensate those who purchased at the higher price, we will grant two swimsuit costumes—Shibako and Shimiao—to affected players. We regret having to make this decision; the reasons are outlined below. [/p][p]Currently, Endless Alice generates approximately USD 100 in daily revenue. Upon review, we believe this is due to a lack of sufficient gameplay depth and remaining bugs. We are working tirelessly every day to improve the experience, and long-time players should have noticed significant enhancements since launch. Our monthly personnel costs range between USD 30,000 and USD 50,000, with a baseline expenditure of USD 35,000; additional costs depend on outsourcing. To manage expenses, we have temporarily suspended some 3D/2D and animation art outsourcing, so art production will progress more slowly. We will resume full production speed once our financial situation improves.[/p][p]If performance does not improve following the price reduction, we will adopt a more conservative update strategy: significantly reduce new content development, further minimize in-game bugs, and polish existing content before ending Early Access and releasing version 1.0. Reportedly, the Full Release receives 3–4× the organic exposure on Steam compared to Early Access. We hope to avoid this scenario and aim to balance new content creation with ongoing debugging to keep the game feeling fresh.[/p][p]Rest assured, the game will not be abandoned. In the worst-case scenario, a three-person team can continue development and maintenance (albeit at a slower pace). We are still well above that threshold and remain fully committed to this project. Many new features are already in planning and production. We apologize for not publishing a Roadmap: our development frequently falls behind schedule, and committing to dates could lead to repeated delays. The game has undergone extensive debugging; once we can better manage our production timeline, we will publish the Roadmap.[/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We originally planned to release other characters’ swimsuit costumes simultaneously, but Lea’s swimsuit has not yet passed review. We expect to release Lea’s costume next week, once approved. Since Shibako’s and Shimiao’s swimsuits are compensation, they will be released early. [/p][p]Below are preview images of the new swimsuits—we hope you enjoy them and consider purchasing to support development. More skins are in the pipeline, including bunny girl, school uniform, gym suit, cheerleader, maid outfit, festive costumes, and more. Stay tuned![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Rare Shimiao Twin-Tail Variant[/p][p]Without a paper-doll system, radically different hairstyles or outfits require substantial additional effort. For example, converting Shimiao’s default long hair to twin-tails necessitated extensive rigging and animation adjustments. Although initially experimental, the result was so appealing we felt compelled to release it. Since such drastic variants won’t be common, this premium skin is priced higher; please consider your purchase accordingly. This variant will also be used as an event reward! [/p][p]Shibako Swimsuit Set In a future update, the shirt will be removable. [/p][p][/p][p]We are an independent development team, self-funded through the sale of our own assets and free from publisher or investor interference. Although this is our first time creating a game, we’re committed to engaging directly with players and maintaining open dialogue. We hope to earn even greater support from the community, and we sincerely thank everyone who has accompanied us on this journey.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Additional Notes To correctly compensate players who bought at the old price, we must publish a new game build and pass Steam's review. This process depends on Steam's schedule and may not align perfectly with our announcement. We have researched this compensation method extensively—if you know a better approach, please let us know. Thank you for your understanding and support![/p]

[Critical Issue Detected] Rolled Back Version v0.0.18 → v0.0.17

Since version v0.0.18 is unstable, we’ve rolled back to v0.0.17.

We may need to slow down the update frequency in order to ensure better stability.

If you’d like to try out more experimental changes and help us test some aggressive updates,
you can switch to the Beta branch to play those versions.
