With you heading to Costa Rica in the next few weeks as part of Operation Breakout, we want to make sure you are aware of reports of an old threat that has resurfaced.

Introducing the Stalker: Specimen WYR-05


Our goal with her design was to retain and elevate her gameplay from previous titles. She is horror, beauty, and finesse, and she can be prone to causing jumpscares.

While considered outlawed by international law, the markings of their continued presence and involvement in mysterious assassinations over the years could be found if one probed deep enough. Now, however, it appears the Stalker is stepping out of the shadows based on the reports we have.

As such we felt it was time for Nightfall to be fully briefed on this previously cloaked threat. While elusive, fast and dangerous, encounters with previous versions of this specimen have shown they can be defeated.



They make effective use of their ability to cloak, moving undetected towards their victims in the field. Those who wander away may find themselves their primary target, so be prepared.

As previous generations of Commandos will tell you, those who specialize in that perk will be able to spot these threats and share that knowledge with their team. But for those looking for more of an edge, we’ve developed new weapon sight mods to help highlight these terrifying creatures.

[/p][p]Level Design collaborated closely with the Narrative and Art teams to further push environmental storytelling that exposes the horrors of Horzine’s treatment toward its captured prisoners.[/p][p]- Corey Sine, Principal Level Designer[/p][p]
[/p][p]This large, sprawling locale features a mixture of outside jungle creeping in on the prison building ruins, as well as claustrophobic interiors. Keep your escape routes open, and be sure to make use of all your traversal options and traps. Sliding through a low broken opening may just keep you alive out there. [/p][p]
[/p][p]And do keep your eyes out specialists, something there is drawing a lot of power and a thermal sweep of the site is showing a negative thermal area. Find it, and use it on the Zeds, if you can.[/p][p]

  • [p]Double Barrel shot is now fired while in the Primary fire mode by pressing the Fire-Mode-Swap button, instead of having its own secondary fire mode. Also changed the behavior of the Secondary fire mode, so that if you try to fire the double-barrel shot while you only have 1 shell in the gun, it'll fire the single shell rather than force a reload.[/p]
