Cosplay Guide

The team put together a Cosplay Guide for all Victims and Family members.

Our community is full of talented creative types of all kinds, including cosplay artists and we wanted to help them bring The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Victims and Family members to life! Our Graphic Designer, Tanner Chaney, painstakingly catalogued every detail of these characters for your reference in the following Cosplay Guide.

This includes:

- High resolution renders of each Victim and Family member

- 8 angles per character

- Detailed character closeups ft. accessories

- Color Palette for individual characters

- For Family members only: High resolution renders of weapons

You can check it out here: https://www.txchainsawgame.com/hub/cosplay-guide

Thanks to all of our players and we are excited to see your cosplays!

Patch Notes - September 12th, 2023

Here are the Patch Notes for September 12th, 2023.

We have a rapid patch incoming on September 12th, 2023. There may be some level of staggered deployment across different platforms due to the patch coming in hot.

The patch will address the following issues:

PATCH NOTES

Fixed: Victims Trapped Collision Issue

- Resolved an issue where Victims who are trapped then lose collision/control when trying to use a gap afterward.

- This issue is not the ONLY issue related to Hitchhiker traps and Victims.

Fixed: Perking Up Achievement

- We fixed an issue with the Perking Up achievement causing it to not unlock.

- Carry on Achievement Hunters

Fixed: Continue on Lobby End Screen

- This issue was causing all active players to wait the full timer when choosing to continue to the next match, due to disconnected players.

- This will help speed up the process of matchmaking into the next match for active players.

Fixed: Continue Missing from Custom Game End Screen

- We resolved an issue where the continue option was missing from the end screen of custom games.

Changed: Battery Match Start State

- The car battery will now start out on and be powered up by default.

- This will help Family players get to the tasks at hand to set up for the match faster.

Changed: Respec in Lobby Option

- We have removed the option to respec characters in match lobbies.

- You can still edit the character loadouts and spend any unused skill points.

- Respec will have to be done via the main menu now.

Tuned: Bone Scrap Limits

- Bone Scrap piles are now limited to 3 uses per pile.

- This is just one step in terms of balancing the scrap usage and frequency.

Tuned: Cook Lock Usage XP Farm

- We have set a limiter to the amount of XP that can be earned from placing and removing locks repeatedly.

- You will still receive the XP bonus for placing each of the three locks once.

Tuned: Lobby Timer Set to 3 Minutes

- We added to the lobby timer in the last patch to give more time to fill lobbies.

- The community generally disliked this change, and we have therefore reverted it back to the standard 3 minutes.

Tuned: Further Anti Cheat Tuning and Improvements

- We have continued our work on anti cheat and are one step closer to reintegrating PC into cross play, though we are not there just yet.

- Players encountering usage of cheats and/or hacks in public PC lobbies, please continue to report them via support.

New edition of The Muerto Times will arrive Wednesday, September 13th.

Thanks for your continued support and patience!

Patch Notes - September 5th, 2023

We have a rapid patch incoming early tomorrow (Eastern US time), September 5th, 2023. There may be some level of staggered deployment across different platforms due to the patch coming in hot.

The patch will address the following issues:

PATCH NOTES

Fixed: PC stuttering on Ultra graphics settings

- This fix resolves graphical issues when running the game on Ultra settings with appropriate hardware.

- This also fixes an issue causing FPS drops when attacking or grappling with opponents while running the game on Ultra settings with appropriate hardware.

Fixed: Voice chat not working in lobbies for party members

- This fix is for an issue where party members would lose voice chat functionality once in a lobby.

Fixed: XP Progression

- This fix resolves a UI issue that would appear to rank up after every match, despite not gaining the required XP to do so.

- This fix also resolves inaccurate XP and XP delays related to earning XP.

Fixed: Various Crashes and Freezes

- This includes a PS4 crash related to unlocking trophies.

- This also includes a fix for high level players experiencing a crash on the match results screen.

Changed: Key Rebinding

- We’ve added key rebinding to the PC version of the game.

Changed: Lobbies will now launch with 6 players

- This change should help lobbies get running smoother, quicker, and with less drops due to incomplete lobbies.

- Leatherface is STILL required for a match.

Changed: Quick Match Menu

- We’ve moved Quick Match to the top of the menu options when looking to join games.

- Quick Match will result in not only quicker matchmaking into a lobby, but also fuller lobbies.

Changed: PC Removed from Cross Play

- We are temporarily separating PC from the console player base in cross play while we continue to improve our anti-cheat tools and resources.

Tuning: EAC and Anti Cheat Improvements

- We have made several improvements to our anti-cheat and protection from additional cheat resources.

- We’ve also improved our tracking and logging for cheat detection and consistent future improvement.

We also plan to run the second edition of The Muerto Times later this week to highlight the next steps for the team. Stay tuned for more on that.
