Development Progress and Gamescom
Hey Champions, 👋
Some time has passed since our last update and we want to give you a short overview of what's going on around Ultimate Godspeed.
[h2]Gamescom 2023 🕹️[/h2]
Exciting news! We will be part of the Indie Arena booth at Gamescom this year! 🥳

You will be able to enjoy a new level and new items.🎮

[h2]The Past 6 Months ⏳[/h2]
👤 Characters
We've reworked two of our characters and we've added two additional characters from different tribes. For each of the now four Characters there are multiple skin options.
✋ Godhands
We've improved the existing god hands and added the Godhands of the «wood» and «tech» tribe.
🚙 New Levels
We've fine-tuned the «poison» level to make it a bit more readable. The new «wood» and «tech» levels are a work in progress and they already work quite well. With the «wood» level we’re also testing the option of a lab based level, which is actually quite fun. We hope to test that with you soon. 🙂 For the «wind» level we also created have a first concept, but gameplay wise its not yet there we want it to be.
🌐 Online Multiplayer
The online multiplayer is now working and supports up to 8 players!🥳 We had to rewrite a lot for that but finally we managed to have a working state on which we can build up. We already could reimplement the whole game loop and some items in the game. And we had very early testing phases with more than 4 players, which was really cool! 😄
🎉 Lobby Area
Instead of only a menu we've now added an interactive lobby area where you can drive around, explore the meachanics, switch characters and join or create games.
✨User Interface
We're working on a new UI which is all about helping players navigate through the game with ease and better understand where they are on the screen and how they’re doing in the game.
🍿 Trailer
Apart from all the game development, we have also put a lot of work in creating a new trailer. It’s not yet fully done but we will share that with you as soon as it’s finished 🙂
💯 Events
This year we also had the chance to visit the GDC in San Francisco with our studio and in about two weeks we will be part of the Indie Area at Gamescom. So if you’re there, come by and say hello 😊 👋
