Build a level that can fit within a 6 × 6 × 6 block cube![/p][p][/p][p]Looking for ideas? Try a pocket-sized race course across multiple floors, a level with fan-assisted jumps or get loopy with wallrides and banked corners![/p][p][/p][p]If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the discussion thread of this news post! Good luck, and happy building! [/p][p][/p][p]NOTE: Zeepkist community events (Level Contests, Banner Contest, and Super League Tournaments) will follow a new schedule starting 1st January 2026[/p]

[/p][p] [/p]
WHAT MAKES A LEVEL FUN TO RACE
[p]To give your level the best chance of being one of the up to 14 levels selected for the monthly Zeepkist Super League tournament by our panel of judges, focus on creating a track that is enjoyable to race. Keep these points in mind while building and testing your level:[/p]
[/p][p]- Akane[/p]
- [p]Theme 5 will begin on 4th January[/p]
- [p]ZSL tournaments will occur every 4 weeks from 11th January onward[/p]
- [p]The blank template contains the red guides, the ground surface and an example boundary wall[/p]
- [p]The filled template includes the red guides, the ground surface and a glass wall block on each side of the cube[/p]
- [p][c]%APPDATA%\\Zeepkist\\Levels[/c][/p]
- [p] Your track should be complete and submitted by Sunday, 28th December 2025 at 18:00 GMT[/p]
- [p] Submissions will be combined into a single workshop item after the deadline above [/p]
- [p] You can only submit one level[/p]
- [p]You can modify or replace your submission as much as you like until the deadline[/p]
- [p] Level collaborations are permitted[/p]
- [p]Maximum of 3 players per level[/p]
- [p]This counts as a level submission for each individual creator[/p]
- [p]Please add collaborators in the collaborators text field of the Level Editor level settings and mention them when submitting the level[/p]
- [p] Level author name MUST contain the submitters' Steam (or Discord) username[/p]
- [p] The name of the level MUST start with "ZSL - " (e.g "ZSL - My Level")[/p]
- [p] Your submission MUST be created within the 3 week building period. Please do not re-upload older maps—even if they fit the theme! [/p]
- [p]All blocks MUST be placed within a 6 × 6 × 6 block area (standard 1-tile road piece size)[/p]
- [p]Small decorative elements MAY slightly extend beyond the 6 × 6 × 6 area. You will not be punished if a tree branch is slightly sticking out! :)[/p]
- [p]Blocks extending past the 6 × 6 × 6 area by a large amount are NOT allowed (see below)[/p]
- [p]You CAN paint, move, rotate or delete the red 6 × 6 × 6 guide blocks and the base "ground" block[/p]
- [p]These guides exist to help you stay within the allowed area[/p]
- [p]Want the buildable area at a 45° angle? Go for it![/p]
- [p]You CAN enable or disable the baseplate. Templates place the "ground" at the same height as the baseplate by default[/p]
- [p]Fan blocks MAY extend beyond the 6 × 6 × 6 area in range, but they MUST be placed within it (see below)[/p]
- [p]Players MAY drive on the cube's outer surface or leave the 6 × 6 × 6 area for airtime jumps[/p]
- [p]Each face of the cube is a full 6 blocks wide[/p]
- [p]The red guide line blocks are the depth of a single wallride block and offset by a 1.6 grid size[/p]
- [p]The full width of the red guides can be used as part of your level (see blue/purple walls in the template and examples below)[/p]
- [p]Scaling track pieces is permitted[/p]
- [p]Level MUST follow any theme requirements set above[/p]
- [p]Level MUST be under 3000 blocks[/p]
- [p]Level MUST have an author time above 25 seconds[/p]
- [p]Level MUST have an author time under 60 seconds[/p]
- [p]Level MUST have at least 3 checkpoints. [/p]
- [p]Consider adding additional checkpoints for split timing or where it would prevent a cut, as cuts do not make for good tournament tracks![/p]
- [p]Level MUST NOT have risky or hidden finishes/shortcuts[/p]
- [p]e.g blind shortcuts or using no-collision/invisible/logic blocks to hide a secret path that is NOT the intended route. This includes hidden linked checkpoints.[/p]
- [p] Join our Official Discord server[/p]
- [p] Upload the level to the Steam Workshop[/p]
- [p] Link the workshop item in the theme's thread in #level-submissions[/p]
- [p]Up to 14 levels will be featured in the monthly Zeepkist Super League tournament; picked by our diverse judging panel full of players of all skill ranges[/p]
- [p]The community will vote on their favourite maps from the theme once submissions close[/p]
- [p]Creators of the 4 best decorated and 4 best track design/flow will win the Season 7 Level Contest cosmetic (two unique Soapbox cosmetics!) [/p]
- [p]Black F-9000 Soapbox with Yellow Accent[/p]
- [p]Yellow F-9000 Soapbox with Black Accent[/p]
- [p]Winners who are Zeepkist Discord members will additionally:[/p]
- [p]Receive 6,000 chat XP on the Discord server[/p]
- [p]Receive a role reward for the round won[/p]
- [p]Enjoyability: Is your level fun to drive? Focus on smooth, flowing racing lines that are satisfying to drive. Add interesting twists, jumps or obstacles that make the track exciting without creating frustration.[/p]
- [p]Learnability: Can players of all skill levels pick up your level and complete it in a reasonable time? The Super League is open to everyone, so try to design your level so both newcomers and experienced racers can enjoy it and have a chance to set a time.[/p]
- [p]Theme Fit: Make sure the level fits the theme requirements[/p]
