UPDATE 1.03 - Very Small Scoring Change

Hello everyone..

Just a small scoring change in this update and nothing more.

Now whenever you exit a room, you'll get double the points as before. So if you have a Streak multiplier, that will still go into play multiplying the double points per length of your snake!

I am going to be adding a lot of new Steam achievements to this game soon.. so keep that in mind as well.

UPDATE 1.02 - Catch Apples As They Drop For Up To 25X Points!

Hello again! As usual with fresh new games when I first launch them, updates usually come pretty quickly!

Update 1.02 here fixes the possibility of multiple purple keys spawning due to eating several apples in a very short period (less than about a second). That should never happen again (thanks for reporting this Xecut1ve!)

Also in this update is a brand new scoring opportunity while playing Nerm! If you watch the apples shadows as the apples fall and catch either a green apple or a red apple and it hits Nerms head instead of the ground, you'll score 1,000 points multiplied by whatever your current streak is at. (example: you catch a red apple as it drops to the ground while having an 11x Streak multiplier.. this would give you a scoring bonus of 11,000 points!)

Because watching the shadows of the apples will be important if you want to catch the apples for the new scoring bonus, I've made the apple shadows much easier to see in the underground rooms made of dirt.

Also, the 200,000 point extra life has been changed to 250,000. So now extra lives will be earned at 50k, 100k, 250k, 500k and 1 million points. Remember that you'll only score these extra lives if you start your game at level 1.

UPDATE 1.01 - Right Mouse Button Pauses and UnPauses Now...

Hello Nerm fans!

In this small update, I added the ability to pause and unpause the game by simply pressing the right mouse button instead of needing to hit the ESC key. This is because if you had paused your game when headed right for a wall for example, and you had to use your left hand to hit the ESC key, it might mean by the time you place your left hand back on WASD you'd be dead. So this fix should help with that little problemo!

I also fixed an issue where changing the music slider in the Options would result in a fatal error. That should no longer happen.

Oh, and I made Nerms status be a few different things on the Pause screen instead of just the one thing about going on strike and sipping coffee. He'll now be described as doing 11 different things when you pause the game instead of just one.

And I added a shadow under the words when paused so the words might be easier to read when they are written over objects like walls below them on the screen.

Nerm the Worm Is Now Live!

After many long nights of coding over the past month, Nerm is finally here and ready for you to help guide him to freedom!

I've made a new write up on how the game works with in game pictures below, right on the Steam store page, so be sure and check that out as there is no in-game tutorial now. I really don't think a tutorial is needed because it's pretty simple to understand just by playing I think.

Anyhow, I'm sure there will be some little bugs and things to iron out, but please if you purchase my game be sure to leave me feedback in my forums and also post any links to videos you might make as well in the forums!
