1.2.3U Patch Notes

Hope you all had a lovely week! The main things this update are that I've added an automatic back up of save files every time you save/delete the old version will be moved to a _backup file in case anything happens and you need to roll back. I've also added a virtual keyboard for controller support (sooo close to being finished with controller support!) and unlocked the basic 4 market stalls as shops. If you are past day 7 you should get a letter which will unlock them when you open it. There's a bunch of other UI changes but those are the most important.

There will be 2 more weekly updates before I break for the holidays between Dec 16th - Jan 19th so if you have any requests get them in asap otherwise I'll take care of it after the break. This is the first real time off I've been able to take in several years and I'm really excited for it!

See you in Garland!

1.3.5T Patches

Hello neighbours!
I'm back at it again on regular schedule after a hectic few weeks. This patch adds a few new accessibility features, fixes some petal events and fixes some little bugs from the new controller stuff. I'm pretty close to getting the virtual keyboard finished so you can expect that next week.

Big Note: If you were one of the players that had a problem with your items/garden not loading into your apartment and you’ve saved since that happened please contact me via discord or email and I will edit your save file to put anything you’re missing back in. The problem is now patched but if you saved since things disappeared it will have overwritten your original files. I am working on adding auto back up options so this doesn't become a problem.

General:
- Mac - Fix for apps not loading in correctly which was causing the phone to crash on close.
- Fixed sprite for second bench in restaurant.
- Changed coffee/nuts naming conventions for clarity.
- Fixed some logging issues.
- Tweaked some logic around getting players unstuck from inside things (still a WIP).

UI:
- Fixed hotbar getting stuck on items between mouse/keyboard input.
- Adjusted button highlight to be more robust.
- Added setting to toggle screen shake on/off.
- Added setting to customise the highlight colour in menu.
- Added more highlight option colours.

Saving
- Added more logging to room persistence so it’s easier to troubleshoot.
- Fixed issue with room persistence double firing when nightly spawn happens on room change causing items not to load in properly.

Petal/Building events:
- Sophie PE 2 - Fixed crash and also a bunch of other stuff with Sophie’s scenes not firing.
- Oliver PE 2 - Fixed double up on last thought and wording change.
- Ryan PE 1 - Fixed trigger not fixing.
- Fixed MP solar panels not loading in correctly.

1.3.5S HotFix - PC only

Just a PC only hot fix to resolve a UI crash where apps weren't loading in from the saves correctly.
Have a good week everyone!

1.3.5R Patch Notes

Happy Friday everyone!

This week brings some more bug fixes but mostly more changes around UI and the keyboard and controller workings. The biggest things you will probably notice are that the UI highlights are much beefier and when in keyboard/controller mode the scroll areas now are layered so you select the scroll then can access it's buttons. Obviously there is still a decent amount of work to do here as right now the exit cases are fickle and the buttons don't remember themselves nicely on exit but I'm making good progress with it.

Next week I will have a bit less time as I need to take care of some very important paperwork so I may skip Friday's regular update and just do a bigger one the week after but I'll see how far I get.

Also from now on, the demo is going to get updated every couple of versions to save me some time.

Thanks for your patience and for all being so lovely while I juggle things!

General
- Fixed NPC path setting wait during events.
- Swapped order of room persistence so it fails later (this will hopefully help with the bug where items don’t load into apartments sometimes while I investigate further).
- Gift register: fixed items not registering when there is only 1 in inventory.
- Sitting - Fixed sprite panic when trying to hold items during sit animation.
- Fixed mouse click interaction on TV and ATM.

UI:
- Added layering and overlays to all phone menus.
- Added thicker pink highlight on button selections (this will be customisable later).
- Hotbar - fixed phone not responding to click.
- Changed buttons to clear themselves if they are selected to respect ingore_mouse/keyboard/controller.

Controller/Keyboard mode:
- Added highlight to scroll areas.
- Added layering to scroll areas so they register as separate areas.
- Added button selection to preference scroll areas/context menus.
- Added auto selection to scrolls where appropriate.
- Added ability to scroll in areas with no buttons.
- Fixed the location creation of (most) context menus (still a few left).
