Dev Log #029: 2022-09-25

This week, we continue improving final chapters, balancing and improving cards and relics, fixing bugs, and working on English localization.
In addition, we conducted tons of testing and profiling to locate and solve the memory leak problems that eventually fixed the game lagging issues
We put our best effort into developing the last hero The Swine King, which would bring a brand new gaming experience. Currently, about 80% of card logic has been implemented. Please look forward to it!

Dev Log #028:2022-09-19

This week, we continue improving final chapters, balancing and improving cards and relics, fixing bugs, optimizing UI, and continue working on English localization.

[h2]Mod Update[/h2]
  • We are able to support the process of downloading Mod from Steam workshop and hookup with our game
  • As of the next step, we will be working on a stand-alone application for uploading Mod to Steam workshop


[h2]UI Optimization[/h2]
  • Adjust the size of relics on the top bar to ensure less overlay with main display when the player has a lot of relics
  • Dialog UI adjustment: Improve user experiment by adjusting dialog width and changing split count of words
  • Add a separate symbol for rarity in descriptions to improve the readability on card description
  • Adjusted click region for ignore button on alert and selection dialog

  • Adjusted Defensive Guardians status
  • Adjust Ice Grenade status

  • The Listener now applies Rupture during attack.

Dev Log #027: 2022-09-11

This week, we focus on improving user experiences and game playability by polishing and balancing cards, NPCs, consumables and relics, fixing bugs, and working on English localization for the final chapter.

We also polished final end scenes with different endings. Currently there are 37 different story endings, try to see if you can unlock them all!

  • Now shuffle into piles will not randomize card order in the pile
  • Improved Omen’s Element Seal effect

  • Now poisoned weapon status can’t be negated

Dev Log #026: 2022-09-04

This week, we focus on polishing and balancing final chapters (especially the latest Omen storyline), and fixing a lot of bugs.

[h2]Development Plan[/h2]
For the next 3-4 months, we are going to mainly focus on couple of top priorities:
  • Improving playability: We plan to release multiple batches of improving and balancing for existing content (all cards, NPCs, consumables and relics, story mode and endless ode) to improve overall game playability
  • New Character: we will focus on the design and implementation of the new character - The Swine King.
  • Mod: We plan to support full Mod capability by the end of year, and continue improving and enriching it.
  • Card redesign: as we announced earlier, we are redesigning all existing cards (375+ cards) to improve user experiences.

[h2]Mod Update[/h2]
  • We were able to solve the communication issue between the game and the Steam Mod server, so now users are able to upload Mod to Steam workshop. As of the next step, we are working on enabling downloading features.

[h2]Localization[/h2]
  • This week we added chapter 4 achievement localization; and we are currently working on English localization for chapter 4.

Dev Log #025: 2022-08-28

[h2]Final Chapter: Omen is available on the pre-release branch![/h2]

We are still adjusting and polishing the skills and stories about Omen, please leave us feedback!

Please note that all updates are currently on the pre-release branch. Make sure to switch to the “pre-release- Release Candidates” branch to test (currently in Simplified & Traditional Chinese only, and we are working on the English version for plots. Thank you for your patience!).


[h2]Introduction to the Plane of Eternity [/h2]
The Plane of Eternity is the final chapter that you can enter after defeating Hell Emperor at the end of Chapter 3. The Plane of Eternity is the home and prison of Omen - the immortal being formed by all the sins, pain, hate, and other negative emotions produced by souls around the world. The seal of five elements was broken and the Omen was partially released and started its negative influence on the world, creating war, chaos and killings.

In order to save the world from emerging evil, you will partner with the Goddess of Mercy to rebuild the seal of five elements to seal the Omen - however, this is not an easy task - you need to face your own desires and sins, and make the right decision.

Conditions to enter The Plane of Eternity:
  • Wukong: Evil or Good
  • White Dragon: Evil or Good
  • Holy Monk: Evil or Good
