Dev Log #039: 2022-12-09

This week, we released the new character Swine King for beta testing on the pre-release branch. We have finished all card logic, key mechanisms, animations, and effects; while art assets, storylines, events & dialogs are still in progress. Please opt-in to the pre-release branch to try it out! (Please note that English localization is also work in progress).

Also, we prioritized Holy Monk and Swine King as top choices on the character selection screen as these heroes are more friendly to players who are just getting started with the game.



[h2]Balance and Enhancement[/h2]
  • Clarify the requirement for Wukong to enter Soul Mountains.
  • Dragon Princess will be reborn at the start of the player's turn instead of end of the player's turn.
  • Allow Endless mode to unlock cards, consumables, relics, etc.
  • Monkey Kings Roar will double Burning even if it's not a Debuff.
  • Hostage does not give you a curse card before trial 17.
  • Improve Half Moon Shovel and Dagger of Sirius.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fix a potential bug that Scarlet Bracelet will block potion use in combat after one round in endless mode.
  • Fix an issue that high buddha's passive good cannot be deflected.
  • Fix a bug that Like a Fortress cannot keep Rupture on target.
  • Fix a bug that Furnace of Heaven cannot correctly recognize when card type changes during play.


Warning: Currently all balancing and bug fixing are pushed to pre-release branch, the main branch does not have these changes yet.

Dev Log #038: 2022-12-02

This week, we continue working on Swing King and fixing bugs, and plan to start beta testing Swing King on pre-release branch next week! Please stay tuned!

Check out some skills! Swine King has a "Bottomless Stomach" - he can eat any consumables to gain hunger points and additional buff and damage.


[h2]Optimization[/h2]
  • We completed the controller support and continue developing hotkey support.


[h2]Enhancements and Balance[/h2]
  • You can still play On the Verge when there is no power card in the draw pile
  • Heaven Earth Beads gives 1 Invincible every 3 turns.
  • Medikit gives 1 Artifact every 3 turns.
  • Add sound effects for Imp of Wicked's skill.
  • Adjusted HP for some NPCs in Chapter 4 to improve player experiences.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fix a bug that Medikit and Heaven Earth Beads save/load their counts incorrectly.
  • Fix the issue of dragging and pointing targets on the edge of the screen on mobile devices.
  • Fix the bottom location of the Fake Buddha by Gold Eye Brow.
  • Fix death effect of Fallen Phoenix when caused by Goddess of Cruelty.
  • Fix a energy cost bug of Spirit Shifting.
  • Fixes a couple of localization bugs

  • Treasure Bowl does not prevent you from seeing intention anymore.

  • Change a duplicate card name in Chinese.
  • Polish description of Jade Emperor.
  • Fix a description bug of adding status to target.
  • Fix a bug that causes the journal of the game to end too early and player cannot get certain achievement
