Pacific Drive - Version 1.11.2 Hotfix Patch Notes 11/06/2025
Surprise! It’s a bonus Hotfix. We discovered an issue with the route planner that needed solving as soon as possible to get you all back out into the Zone and on the road.
[p][/p]
Version 1.11.2 - Negative Scanner charges and Getting Trapped in the Garage
[p]We’ve just pushed a solution to help you keep from getting stuck in the garage due to negative scanner charges, and other route planning related issues. Today’s fix is live for all platforms - PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.[/p][p][/p][p]Some players have gotten stuck with negative scanning charges when interacting with the route planner, and that's made it impossible to leave the garage entirely - because selecting a route is key to starting the journey from the garage.[/p][p]This was happening due to a difference in the number of charges between Whispers in the Woods maps, and the base game. If players attempted to scan the Whispers in the Woods nodes but did not leave the garage after scanning, then returned to base game map, the math would assume they had scanned a multiplicative amount and could register a negative amount of scanner charges. [/p][p]While most players could revert this change by going on an expedition run, some players were completely hardlocked by the embark requirements of their expedition level and would not be able to leave the garage entirely - needless to say this isn't ideal and we wanted to provide a solution for you all as soon as possible![/p][p]This fix corrects the misalignment between the Whispers in the Woods charges and base game charges. It should also correct any negative numbers that players might have on their save files (you should at least have one map scanner charge on a previously bugged save). We’ve confirmed this fix with new save games, jumpstarted save games, personal developer saves, and the affected individuals who donated their saves to our support line (and ultimately were the absolute heroes in us tracking down the source of the issue).[/p][p]We know that a large group of you hasn’t encountered this particular issue - but for those that have, thank you for reaching out to us. Your saves, experience, and all the information shared really helped us nail this down so we could get you a solution as soon as possible.

Friendly reminder - here’s what you can do if you encounter a bug or crash with Pacific Drive.[/p]
• [p]Submit via our support form here on the website[/p][p]This goes directly to us in the studio and it’s the #1 way for us to get your reports - it also opens up a channel for us to communicate with you 1:1 and really dig in to find solutions or for us to get access to your save files.[/p]
• [p]Start a bug post in our community Discord[/p][p]Post your bugs! Get help from other community members, and brainstorm solutions with other hardcore players. There’s nothing like figuring out a quirk that’s plagued you so long you thought it was a bug with a little help from another Breacher.[/p]
• [p]Reply to the bug report Steam discussions thread or submit a new thread[/p][p]Similar to Discord but an additional option just in case you’d rather use it instead.[/p]

Pacific Drive - Version 1.11.1 Hotfix Patch Notes 10/29/2025

• [p]We've implemented a lot of fixes for softlocks and progression blocking issues have been solved[/p]
• [p]Xbox users should now be able to access their DLC entitlements offline[/p][p][/p]
Bug and UX Fixes
• [p]Fixed a rare crash that would occur when attempting to save a game that had a large or older save file[/p]
• [p]Fixed a softlock in early Whispers in the Woods mission when breaking down attuned car parts and not having enough materials to craft more.[/p]
• [p]If your save is currently in this state, new attuned parts should appear from the pneumatube next to the route planner.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a softlock in base game tutorial where tires would sometimes obtain extra unintended status effects.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a softlock in base game tutorial that would prevent player from using the route planner in certain circumstances.[/p]
• [p]Improvements have been made to alleviate fog flickering on consoles however this will slightly impact render resolution on affected platforms.[/p]
• [p]A fix for the render resolution changes is already planned for a future patch.[/p]
• [p]We’ve taken steps to prevent players from stumbling into an issue with Whispers in the Woods where they cannot properly progress through the game after the first Altar of Passage.[/p]
• [p]We are still actively investigating instances of this issue for existing players[/p]
• [p]Xbox Specific - We’ve fixed Xbox Whispers in the Woods DLC entitlements (licensing) becoming unavailable when playing offline - all content should now be available without requiring an internet connection.[/p][p][/p]
Ongoing Performance Issues
[p]We’re aware of certain players experiencing performance problems on multiple platforms. We are actively investigating these issues; however we do want to remind console players of the existence of performance mode. For players on the Xbox series S we highly advise this to be enabled.[/p][p]One specific outstanding issue is a lack of PC shader caching. While this hot fix does not contain improvements in that area, we do have a fix ready to be deployed in the near future which should alleviate those problems.[/p]
Known Issues
• [p]Xbox Specific - Audio will sometimes stutter when zooming in/out with the camera[/p]
• [p]Controller haptics still activate occasionally when disabled in settings[/p]
• [p]Temporary solution - disable haptics/vibration at a device level[/p]
• [p]Status Effect indicators are not properly rotating in inventory[/p]
• [p]Z.E.T.I. System can get stuck in animation when saving/quitting during the animation[/p]
• [p]Can be solved by re-inserting hard drive or audio tape items[/p]
• [p]A hitch can occur when destroying a Plasma Generator with the Impact Hammer[/p]
• [p]Abandoned cars sometimes spawn floating[/p]
• [p]Taking a standard Junction Exit after summoning an Attuned Gateway can cause Altars of Passage to not spawn in future Exit Junctions[/p]
• [p]The Refinery garage station continues to run while game is paused[/p]
• [p]The Refinery is blocking a garage cosmetic slot[/p]
• [p]Rare instances where Audio Tape dialogue is missing partial subtitles[/p]
• [p]Occasionally, some new anomaly types will fail to spawn in their specially marked junctions[/p]
• [p]Harvestman[/p]
• [p]Glowgrabber[/p]
• [p]Harvestman neck can erratically stretch and distort visually in certain situations[/p]
• [p]Hooligan logbook Photo cannot be unlocked[/p]
• [p]A slight hitch occurs when any Attuned car part is highlighted[/p]

Hello, Pacific Drive DLC, Boltgun 2 trailer, Denshattack release window and Solasta II early access update

Right, so, I've thus far failed to grow a second pair of hands, despite Edwin suggesting me and Oisin try. Sorry, mate. As a result, here's a quick run around the houses of interesting stuff we've not covered from yesterday's Galaxies showcase that I think's worth nattering about.

Look, you can't ask a person to choose between writing about a shadow-dropped Pacific Drive expansion and some other things that folks in the RPSverse may also be interested in hearing about. I can't be expected to make decisions. That's illegal.

Pacific Drive just shadow dropped a haunting new DLC, turning the underrated survival game into nightmare fuel

Let me be clear, the base game experience of Pacific Drive can get really intense at times. While tinkering away on an old station wagon and decorating your garage with trinkets you scavenge from the surrounding forest sounds super relaxing, most of the time it's making you sweat. Able to lure you into exploring a few minutes more than you should, and quick to punish your complacency, it's earned a place on our best survival games list. While its freaky, mysterious anomalies can get your heart racing, its brand new DLC, Whispers in the Woods, takes things to new levels. With a darker tone, cults, and a new survival mechanic, Pacific Drive's first expansion looks incredible. And guess what? It just shadow dropped.

These improvements positively impact all versions of the game, including PC (high and low spec machines) and Consoles (both standard and performance mode). The changes target CPU, GPU, Video Memory, and Load times.[/p]
• [p]CPU[/p]

• [p]Improved culling of meshes at extreme distances[/p]
• [p]Improved LOD generation for the entire game. Notable areas of improvement[/p]

Gameplay Balance and Scripting[/p]
