Early Access Update 25/2/2025 - 0.31 - Lvl. 5 abilities!

Additions:
  • 18 new abilities, unique lvl. 5 skills to all character classes & backgrounds.


Controller improvements:
  • Better navigation with food menu beyond limits on bonfire, improved controller on bonfires


Fixes:
  • Fixed Sewer crash
  • Fixed rare softlock with crocodiles, once and for all
  • Fixed no corpse for Healer and Hero class


There have been a few minor balancing changes to multiple items and skills too

Hey Guild Leaders!!
Lvl 5. abilities for all backgrounds are finally here as well as some exciting news I have for my 2025 Netherguild plans! So let's get into it:



Brand new Lvl 5. Abilities
Each class background gets their own unique lvl 5. skills (18 new abilities overall!) these will usually be powerful abilities with few uses per bonfire / expedition.

I added a bunch of new mechanics so expect some fun powers like having another turn for your character, or all characters gaining "undying" for a turn: a status effect which prevents death. Some abilities also deal massive damage or other handy and more standard status effects.



Situational but powerful "nukes" you can reserve for the right moment!



I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback about which abilities you like best :D



What's Next..?


I wanted to share some of my plans for Netherguild with you - keep in mind these are not set in stone, but they're a general guideline for how I wish to expand Netherguild in 2025.

Also, let me know if there's anything else that's missing or something you'd like to see!



Improved UI and other polish

I've been learning pixel art in my spare time (example above!) so I might try to spend some time and use my newfound knowledge to try and improve the game's interface - be it healthbars, various screens and more.
Obviously it's going to be tough but I think it's worth doing or at least trying out!!

I also think features like being able to sell items in the market would make learning Netherguild easier for newbies.



Afterwards

I want to work on the upcoming jungle area - as well as adding more backgrounds for each new class (Duelist, Hero, Alchemist, Healer).
(and perhaps progression beyond lvl 5.)

  • Fixed crash when opening inventory with "i" during temporary ally turn (like mushroom ally)
  • Fixed crash from legendary item spawning in damp caves

  • Fixed new damp caves sword and mace only spawning as commons without bonuses
  • Possibly fixed an issue relating to small green and red mushroom AI.

  • Made it so that explosive barrels won't spawn in Bluestone Mines corridors when descending there
