Road to Steam Next Fest – New Mission Coming Soon!
We’re excited to announce that Beyond Enemy Lines – Vietnam will be part of Steam Next Fest!
To mark the occasion, we’ll be updating the demo with brand-new singleplayer content when the festival begins.
Incoming: Operation Game Warden
Launching with the Steam Next Fest update, we’re adding a new standalone mission: Operation Game Warden.

This mission is inspired by the real-world U.S. Navy operation in the Mekong Delta, aimed at disrupting Viet Cong supply lines along the rivers and canals of South Vietnam.
In-game, Operation Missions are not part of the main campaign. They are independent missions based on real historical operations, designed as large open-ended battlefields. Objectives are scattered across a wide area, and players are given complete tactical freedom to choose how and in what order they engage them - a structure reminiscent of previous Beyond Enemy Lines titles.
Unlike the Gridlock mission currently featured in the demo, which is more scripted and focused, Operation Game Warden offers a looser structure with minimal scripting and an emphasis on replayability. Both approaches offer freedom - Gridlock through layered combat encounters, and Game Warden through full non-linear sandbox design.
We’re adding this mission specifically to hear your thoughts on this alternative mission flow.

📅 Demo Update Timeline
The Steam Next Fest update goes live with the start of the event.
Until then, you can already jump into the current demo, featuring the campaign mission Gridlock.
