Update - Build 1.0.0.68

Hi folks,

I've just put out an update for the game. Here is a list of what has changed:
  • Created a cinematic trailer showcasing new lore-backed artworks.
  • Re-created gameplay trailer.
  • Re-created screenshots.
  • Re-formatted store page long description.
  • Re-formatted store page short description.
  • Completely revamped all store and library assets.
  • Completely revamped main menu UI.
  • Replaced manual copyright sprite with an IDE-based text field for easier maintenance.
  • Added "resolution" to the interpolation warning string.
  • Disabled texture interpolation by default. This will enhance visuals significantly on resolutions that are 1920x1080 and higher, but worsen them for resolutions that are lower. If issues occur, simply press "I" to enable interpolation at any point in the game.
  • Completely overhauled introduction sequence and artwork.
  • Implemented an unused sound effect asset to the introduction sequence to enhance the narrative and atmosphere of the game's story.
  • After the tutorial is complete, the player is now restored to full HP, Hunger, and Thirst.
  • All Tool Ion attacks on enemies and NPCs now consume 1 SP per hit.
  • Doubled the base spawn rate of enemies from 1 per 6 seconds to 1 per 3 seconds.
  • Halved the base limit of enemies from 8 to 4.
  • Increased enhanced limit of enemies when using a Cursed Soul by 6x the new base of 4, totaling 24.
  • Halved the enhanced spawn rate of enemies when using a Cursed Soul from 1 per 3 seconds to 1 per 1.5 seconds.
  • Added boss enemies to the game. When using a Cursed Soul, 4 bosses will also spawn. These bosses cannot be targeted by turrets, but they will damage them (+25%) if they are caught in the crossfire. If caught in their blast radius, the player will take extreme damage. Bosses grant additional XP, which stacks with the C.A.N. Opener Jumpsuit's 2x Combat XP buff. Also, additional loot is dropped (6-18 Cola Tabs, a random S.E.L.F. tab, and 9-27 Power Cells). These new foes also do twice the usual damage to the player's C.A.N. and should be dealt with swiftly.
  • Added Repair Kit (1-3) and Power Cell (9-27) to the base enemy's loot tables. This is in an effort to reduce early-game difficulty, and the additional ammunition seems to add to the fun - especially when combined with the new Cursed Soul overhaul.
  • Increased ambient lighting factor from 0.022 to 0.5 - a whopping 2,272.73% increase in lighting.
  • Added 4 torches to The Void, which make the C.A.N.'s perimeter a bit brighter.
  • Reduced enemy sound effect volume by about 15%.
  • Amended Amborettio_credits.txt to include important information about new artworks.
  • Increased size 12 font range from 32-127 to 32-255 to allow for use of symbols.
  • Fixed a typo in the EULA.

Update - Build 1.0.0.64

Hi folks,

I've just put out an update for the game. Here is a list of what has changed:
  • Replaced the Void's C.A.N. sprites to be more seamless.
  • Texture interpolation can now be toggled on/off by pressing "I" at any time. This is enabled by default, but makes almost no visual difference when toggled on 1920x1080 resolutions, therefore it can be disabled without issue. However, resolutions below 1920x1080 will require this setting to be enabled, or text will not display properly.

Update - Build 1.0.0.60

Hi folks,

I've just put out an update for the game. Here is a list of what has changed:
  • Added a guard-for-hire NPC to the Void, allowing players to hire up to 4 guards to protect their C.A.N. from C.A.N. Openers.
  • Fixed an issue where torches could be placed within the C.A.N. walls of the Void.
  • Fixed an issue where Spirits could damage the player's C.A.N. by hitting the C.A.N. walls within the Void.
  • Fixed an issue where repair kits could be used to repair the player's C.A.N. while being close to C.A.N. walls within the Void.
  • Removed a fade-to-black object that was created when relaying from the C.A.N. to the Void, which will no longer despawn enemies or create a loud stacking sound effect.
  • Players can no longer relay to the Void when C.A.N. Openers are present.
  • Rebuilt the Void's C.A.N. and repositioned the NPC vendors within.
