Silver Cats News

Some time after the release of Silver Cats, I started working on a new project and had already purchased new graphics for it, but still decided that it was better to clean up the old project first, and then take on the new one. So in early 2022, I ported Silver Cats to a new version of the engine and started working on updating the graphics using purchased content.



I decided to divide the work on the update into six stages, which will be carried out in stages:

1. Environment (updating vegetation, buildings, etc.)
   
2. Characters (updating the main character, NPCs, monsters, bosses)
   
3. Animations (updating animations of the main character and NPCs)
   
4. Combat (change combat to non-target system)
   
5. Interface (updating interface graphics, possibly with adaptation for a gamepad)
   
6. Partial voice acting (Ukrainian voice acting of the main character and story NPCs)
   

Now I'm working on the first stage and updating the initial location. I also plan to diversify the old quests and add some new content.

It is said that the Guild Forest was visited by the Wandering Adventurer, who came from distant lands in search of legendary relics. In exchange for them, he is ready to give special books with skills that increase the chance of getting rare loot from monsters. Finding the relics has proven difficult, however, and the adventurer cannot do without your help. Talk to him for clues about relics and go on an adventure!







Tristan from a Mining Town has an unknown disease. His sister Isabelle decided to go to the Mushroom Cave alone to find a healing mushroom, which is rumored to be able to cure any disease, however, it looks like she is in trouble. Save Isabelle in the Mushroom Cave, the entrance to which can be found in the Miners Valley.





The elder of the werewolf camp is confident that many years after the battle with the White Demon, the Guild Forest has begun to recover. The only way to check this is to explore the Trees Cave, which once was the temple of the Goddess of Fertility. Perhaps the Life Tree, which the Goddess of Fertility left behind, began to gradually recover, and the grove of sacred trees will be able to regain its former strength.





There are many legends about the majestic city soaring in the sky. It is said that an ancient civilization used to live there, but after millennia the city turned into ruins. The Sky City Researcher is sure that somewhere there is an ancient artifact with a mysterious power. Perhaps the artifact will appear if you destroy the most powerful golem that protects the city.

In the game there is no binding to the character class – the style of play depends on the chosen equipment. You can fight with a one-handed sword, a two-handed sword, or choose a magical artifact if you prefer magic. Armor is divided into three types: plate, cloth, and leather. Plate protects best from physical damage, cloth – from magic damage. The skin has medium protection, but it increases some damage depending on the set of armor: either physical or magical.



The gameplay of the game changes depending on the chosen difficulty. There are 6 difficulty levels in total:



On low difficulty, it is enough to buy armor from merchants, and battles with monsters will not distract from the passage of the story. On high difficulty, you need to get rare materials in order to craft elite equipment.



It is also necessary to use inlay, sharpening and engraving to increase the characteristics of the equipment.



Crafting potions and food is also essential. Resources for them are growing all over the world.



By completing various tasks, you can get experience and money, and the rarest things can be obtained from bosses in the dungeons.
