Update 0.8.83

I am pleased to present the first level in the Midspace sector. The concept of the level was quite ambitious, and at the end of the development, it turned out that the level was quite low fps. Because in fact, everything is based on one of the weaknesses of the Unity engine. I had to spend the last ten hours optimizing it to improve the situation.
For now, the level on my work computer has ~50 fps, but I have to release it now. Further updates will improve the situation.
  • New story level “Crossroad”
  • Satyrs of the second rank (with shield but no wings) will now turn on invisibility for a short time.
  • Increased homing power of missiles.
  • Increased the homing power of Olympic rifle bullets with a corresponding improvement, and added a special visual effect to them.
  • New color options for character customization.
  • The last element of the Hades set is available at a new level.
  • Using items from the inventory and special abilities that create an item will now spawn it in the direction of the camera, not in the direction of the character.
  • Enemy Sectoral shields are now more durable, but can now be damaged by implosion.
  • Turrets now quickly cover themselves with shields.
  • Deflector shield plates of enemies now levitate when destroyed.
  • Stationary anti-aircraft guns now have a turning sound.
  • The cost of building Server unit has been reduced (Spare Parts 12→10, Data Blocks 500→400), which slightly reduces the level of grind for the Bridge sector, we do not want the story to be interrupted for a long time.
  • The number of homing missiles now has a ratio of 1:2 to detonating missiles (it was 1:3), so the amount of homing missiles has increased by 50%.
  • Loot vans can now be opened with simple interaction, without shooting the door.
  • Radio emitters now generate 35% more data in data collection mode.
  • The fire created by the player is now displayed on the mini-map.
  • Player freezing speed has been slowed down by 12%.
  • Island - ambient colors and sky are now different, with stars appearing at night. (Stars are also added to other levels with twilight.)
  • Dozens of minor fixes, additional loot, and graphics improvements on some tasks.
  • Significant physics optimization, slightly reducing CPU load. Maybe this optimization can cause minor collision glitches on some old levels… maybe not.

Update 0.8.82

This is the last minor update before focusing on the new story mission.
  • Elysium 2 - The level was not designed to be a maze, so moving around the level has been simplified, with more obvious direct cuts between blocks.
  • Sector shields now turn white when damaged and restored.
  • Calling a shop now has no phrase delay.
  • An enemy that raises an alarm now provokes nearby enemies to react to the player as well.
  • Regular enemy machinegun turrets now shoot more precisely.

Update 0.8.81

  • Turrets of different types are now more aggressive.
  • Island: mine capacity increased from 10 to 14.
  • Island: fixed a bug where the day/night cycle didn't work.
  • Graphics of some buildings have been updated. 3D models of buildings were made 14 years ago, and deserve improvement.
  • In the task of building server units, in addition to their highlighting in building list, the highlighting of the energy capsule generator has been added.
  • In harpy mode, the wing jump now works as a double jump to avoid unwanted flight.
  • Hades set item added to the Sanctuary level.

Update 0.8.80

  • New building elements: local portal (entry/exit), small foundation, garlands.
  • Fixed a bug with the production of energy and medical capsules.
  • The pistol and rifle upgrade to pierce plasma shields has been replaced with a critical damage chance. The experiment was interesting, but it ruined the central game concept.
  • Healing with med. capsules increased from 40% to 60%, which also applies to Auto Med Block.
  • Leo no longer says that we will never come back to this old HQ before evacuating, as there is such a possibility in the game.
  • In the new HQ, the portal to the old HQ is now a little more eye-catching.
  • Minor fixes in the Bridge sector.
  • New unit of equipment Olympic Belt, added at Elysium level 3.
  • Olympic leg pads - added bullet defense parameter.
  • Olympic shoulder - increased protection from explosions from 3% to 5%.
  • All items of the Hades equipment set will no longer be displayed in the objective list.
  • Spiders armor parameters increased (less damage from regular bullets) - should increase their tanking role.
  • Fixed a bug with the gate display on the Great Gate level.
  • Minor fixes and improvements to sound effects.
  • Minor UI changes.

Sector “Bridge” [update 0.8.79]

This has been the hardest sector to develop so far, with several difficult locations to design, a lot of text and voice acting, and a slightly new approach to some mechanics... it's been exhausting... I'm looking forward to developing the “Midspace” sector, and I hope you enjoy the “Bridge” sector. The game for the first time sends the player to the Island to continue the main storyline. Although I think players will have enough resources by the time they finish Elysium to get through this point without any problems, I also didn't set the price of Server Units too high so as not to overload players with a long grind.
  • The new sector is represented in three new locations.
  • A new piece of equipment from the Olympic set in the new mission.
  • Gamepad/keyboard cursor is now more delicate, it now also works as a button highlight under the cursor.
  • Construction UI - added a description of most elements when selecting them.
  • Construction UI has been changed, better organized, and better adapted for the co-op, some elements have been moved to a new category.
  • Defense elements construction are no longer available in the new headquarters (there will be no threat there)
  • Fixed an issue with the production of the med. capsules and energy capsules were reset to 0 after loading the save.
  • Mission “ Old Path” now has a better indication of the main task, some graphical fixes.
  • Fixed some issues with the main menu UI.
  • The maximum chance to pierce the plasma shield with a pistol has been reduced from 30% to 20%.
  • The maximum chance to penetrate the plasma shield with machine guns has been reduced from 30% to 25%.
