Devlog #1 The one where it all begun
Hello fellow monkeys.
This is new for me (your humble codemonkey known as Abrams), devlogs and writing in general, hope you can cope with me and have fun while reading. But I will try my best! 💪
So this past week was huge for us and you guys, we finally were able to make our first playtest through steam. Maybe for you guys it’s not a big deal, but for us, it was huge, like, really huge.

First of all thanks for everyone that played it, hope you had a blast. Second, a huge thanks to everyone that reported bugs or made suggestions, everything was compiled and added to the backlog of our trello project. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Now to the real part of the devlog, what have we been up to. 👀
We know that both the water and skybox are not in accordance with the game vibe, yet, so we have been trying to think about solutions. For the skybox we are between just a normal 2D skybox, it’s nice, it’s easy but something is missing, and we want to do something amazing here. The other option is to have volumetric clouds, like, clouds that move and transform like a more realistic sky but always with a cartoonish look. We are still deciding between which option suits the vibe of the game better, but, as soon as we have both implemented we will post them so you can decide.

Well, there it is, Not much, but something new.
The menus will also need a revamp, so in the next couple of weeks we will try to improve the following:
I will try to post a new devlog every Friday. Don’t promise I will be able to, because sometimes monkey Stuart puts me to slave work but I really want to do it. I Hope you read and enjoy them.
