Thanks to all of you!

The Inspector is recovering from Games Made in France!

Ciao everyone!

As someone noticed, the demo is not available for download anymore.
Thank you for your precious feedback, we noticed as the build was really unstable and tended to crash 50% of the time so, instead of having players infuriate for that, we preferred to retire it, to focus on optimization.

While working on fixing this problem, we are also working on some other stuff to deliver you a better experience in Q1 2023, tentative lunch date for "The Inspector".
New Features:
• The PMF revamping (a special microphone that helps you to find the memories) is ongoing in will be released on playtest branch soon. It has a new tutorial making this instrument easier to use
 • A complete saving system is under construction, to let you explore the game in more sessions!
Improvements:
• We are continuing to implement 4 major languages: English, French, Italian, Simplified Chinese
 • Now you can skip the intro if you want
Fixes:
• Fixed a bug that prevent use to properly using the stairs in the first beacon
 • ENG trailer has some misspelled words
 • Subtitles in the intro were not properly visible

Thank you again to all the testers who played the demo!

Ciao,

E.

The Inspector @Games Made in France 2022

Hello Everyone!

Next week, from 22th to 25th September, The Inspector will be featured at the biggest videogame digital event in France, called GMIF (Games Made in France).

The event will take place on Twitch for the entire weekend and is presented by famous streamers, with guests from French studios and publishers, including independent ones, who will show their creations.

Max, founder of Lappi Soft and fellow adventurer as Features & Support Developer for The Inspector, will represent the game at the event by answering questions from the audience.

Thanks to everyone for the support, French and not French!

L'événement "Colors of Indie" est maintenant ouvert !

The Inspector @Tiny Teams Festival 2022!

It's been a while, but don't worry, the development is proceeding well!

A lot of stuff going on in the past months, let's check together:
Tiny Teams
The Tiny Teams is a private event on Steam, curated by Yogcast. The payoff for this event is "Micro Studio, Massive Ideas", which perfectly fits with my game! I'm excited to be selected to participate in it!
The event starts on Monday and, for a week-long, the demo will be back, looking forward to your feedback.
Color of Indie
Color of Indie is a new Tik Tok event where you can showcase your Indie game. Is curated by the creator of Lost Ember. It was a super fun experience, we reach the final stage, but we didn't get the podium!
LappiSoft
I reached a point that the game lacks in some main points: save system, optimization, and marketing. I decided to ask for some help. Max, from LappiSoft, is the right person to assist me on this path. With his experience, we can reach a more polished final product, without losing the status of Indie Dev.
Game Mechanics
While the core game is the same, there are some new elements that slightly change the game experience.
Tutorial Screens
A series of panels will guide you discovering the main aspects of the game. One of the main issues with the last demo was understanding how the world of "The Inspector" works. I think, thanks to these screens, I fix partially the problem.
Binocular
The Inspector is a small exploration game. You need to find the memories to wake up your patients. But what happens if discovering memories is frustrating? I work on that and decided to insert special equipment, the binoculars, that helps you to recognize the memory's position.
Beacons
If finding memories were too hard, finding and deactivating beacons was too easy! So I work also on that. Now, prior to shutdown a beacon, you need to answer a specific question. You can answer to this question only if you have found the related memories. This thing prevents players from shutdown all the beacons before finding memories.

That's all for the moment! Thank you for following my game.
