Release in 5 Days!
Hey everyone!
Intravenous comes out in just 5 days, on July 26th, so I wanted to write up a more personal community post. If you're excited for it - be sure to wishlist the game, and tell friends that you believe would enjoy a game like this about it - spreading the word helps a lot!
Intravenous is a passion project, like any other project I work on. I've put in a ton of effort, care, and love into it. The game is everything I wanted it to be. It plays exactly how I envisioned it back in 2018 when I first got the idea of working on it. The stealth is tense, the action is fast-paced and highly lethal, with both complementing each other - one wouldn't be the same without the other.
Having spent more than 5,500 hours on the game's development I can still fire it up any time and have a great time playing it, be it in stealthy manner or balls-to-the-wall action. As a creator you can't really judge anything you make in an objective manner, but to me personally, I think it's a great sign that I can have a fun time with the game after having spent so much time on developing it.
I hope you guys will enjoy playing it - I certainly had a blast in making it, and I hope I'll be able to keep on updating it with new cool stuff.
One of the things I'd love to make are expansion packs, campaign lengths of which would be equal to the base game; or maybe even longer!
They would be perfect for exploring various gameplay mechanics, as well as provide you guys with more gameplay and stories of the game characters you will run into during the main campaign's duration. There are certain gameplay mechanics I really want to try with these, and in the context of an expansion pack they will fit in perfectly, as they will further highlight that you're playing not as Steve, but as a different character with a different set of abilities.
I also hope to make a second Intravenous game. It's existence depends on the success of the first game, and, if all goes well, you can be sure that it will be even better than the first.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you'll enjoy the game,
