This Playtest will let you test out the new content arriving in Season 2: Power Surge.We look forward to hearing your feedback!

IMPORTANT: This Playtest is only available on PC (Steam and MY.GAMES Launcher). This allows us to test the stability of new builds with a clean slate before deploying to all platforms.

  • Start – Thursday, May 15, 14:00 CEST/05:00 PT
  • End – Friday, May 16, 16:00 CEST/07:00 PT
[h2]New Content[/h2]
Test out upcoming Season 2: Power Surge content, including:
  • Titan (Volta): Turn up the voltage with a brand-new quadruped Titan.
  • New Game Mode (Spearhead): Capture Warp Probes to seize victory.
  • War Robots (Loki and Mesa): Use stealth and strength in equal measure.
  • Weapons (Halo and Locust): Deal major damage with these new shotguns.
  • Supply Gear (Ammo Fabricator): Deploy a device that boosts the reload speed of allies in range.
  • Hero Pilot (Sora Sing): Unleash the sparky Sora Sing as your War Robot’s new Pilot.

Artillery Weapons (Noricum, Rampant, Magneto)
  • Reworked the mechanics of artillery weapon explosions:
    • Explosions no longer penetrate barriers, domes, walls, and other terrain elements.
Gemini
  • Changed the flight path of the projectiles. The missiles now stabilize faster.
  • Added splash damage to the projectiles. Missiles now deal 1,660 splash damage to Armor within a radius of 3.5m.
  • Increased damage to Armor from 7,500 to 8,160.
Dragoon
  • Increased the fire rate from 40r/min to 44r/min.
  • Increased damage to Armor from 4,866 to 5,280.
Fowler
  • Increased the fire rate from 75r/min to 80r/min.
  • Decreased the required time to fully charge from 1.2s to 1.1s.
  • Increased damage to Armor from 6,540 to 6,800.
Pulsar
  • Increased magazine size from 28 to 32.

  • Increased Shoulder Armor from 126,500 to 165,600.
  • Increased Chassis Pelvic Armor from 107,800 to 147,800.

Reflector
  • Changed the behavior of Reflector. Incoming damage is no longer absorbed, only reflected.
  • At the highest level, the percentage of returned damage is increased from 50% to 60%.
Deflector Gizmo
  • Changed the behavior of Deflector Gizmo. Incoming damage is no longer absorbed, only reflected.
  • The percentage of returned damage is increased from 15% to 30%.
  • Increased the Talent cooldown from 7s to 10s.
Minefield
  • This Gear has been completely redesigned. The mines are now invisible at a distance and cover a larger area. 
  • At the highest level, Gear Charge decreased from 300 to 280.
Whiplash (Scorpion)
  • Increased the lingering damage duration from 5s to 7s.
[h2]Playtest Rewards[/h2]
Participants will receive a “Playtest Crew” Sticker, 4,000 Credits, and 40,000 Salvage. Rewards will be granted to participating accounts by May 23.

To get access to the War Robots: Frontiers Balancing Playtest on Steam, follow the instructions below:
  • If you have War Robots: Frontiers in your Steam Library, you will also own the licence for War Robots: Frontiers | Playtest. If you do not have War Robots: Frontiers in your Steam Library, head on over to the Store Page and click the “Play Game” button found on the Store Page.
  • Navigate to War Robots: Frontiers | Playtest by searching for “War Robots: Frontiers” in your Library.
  • Click "Install".
  • After installation, you can press "Play" to participate in this Playtest.
