War Robots: Frontiers News

Season 2: Power Surge | Patch Notes — June 17, 2025

[p]Incoming, Pilots! A new major update will be deployed for War Robots: Frontiers following a short period of maintenance on June 17, 2025. This update will introduce Season 2: Power Surge, and a host of new content and quality-of-life updates.[/p]
New Content
Season 2: Power Surge
[p]The battle for Terminus continues. Despite the ongoing blockade, Pilots have adapted and found new sources of supplies. Some have learned to scavenge and build, while others have turned to smuggling. But just as life on Tortuga seems to be getting back on track, the Warp network collapses, paralyzing all activities in the Wild Ten. With everything at stake, it’s up to the Pilots to fix what's broken.[/p]
War Robots: Loki & Mesa
• [p]Loki (Unlockable via the Scavenger’s Hunt Battle Pass & Daily Deals): Trickster by name, trickster by nature. Loki's ability to use holographic projections makes it an excellent infiltrator and scout. Its armor is strong for its class, and its anti-shield firepower means it can easily take on flankers, though it should avoid encounters with heavier foes. Add Loki to your Drop Team and see what this stealthy War Robot can do. [/p]
 • [p]Mesa (Unlockable via the Spark of Ingenuity Battle Pass & Daily Deals from July 29): Defend ‘til the end with Mesa, a strong defender with amazing ally-protecting abilities. Deploy barriers to shield Mesa and its teammates from projectiles, or unleash a biotech drone that follows alongside it, buffing allies and weakening enemies in the area. [/p]
Titan: Volta
• [p]Volta (Unlockable via account progression at Level 50): Turn up the voltage. This live wire Titan is the first quadruped to be built on Tortuga, and it’s as aggressive as it is electrifying. With its ability to double jump and hover, these new traversal capabilities are sure to set Volta apart from other Titans on the battlefield. Activate its electric weapon, generate a moving barrier, or block projectiles and deal damage to enemies foolish enough to pass through.[/p]
Game Mode: Spearhead
[p]Powerslide into a brand-new game mode: Spearhead. [/p][p]Two teams fight over randomly spawning Warp Probes to stabilize Warp in the region. Locate and capture them first to earn Points! Hit the Points cap, stay ahead, or eliminate all enemies to win.[/p]
Battle Pass: Scavenger’s Haul
[p]Whether you’re on the Free track or want to upgrade your Battle Pass to earn more rewards, dozens of adrenaline-pumping rewards are waiting to be unlocked:[/p]
 • [p]Loki Modules[/p]
 • [p]Halo Weapons[/p]
 • [p]Recon Mode (Cycle Gear)[/p]
 • [p]Fuel Burn (Supply Gear)[/p]
 • [p]5 Stickers[/p]
 • [p]5 Paints[/p]
 • [p]2 Decals[/p]
 • [p]2 Wear and Tears[/p]
 • [p]1 Common Pilot[/p]
 • [p]Intel, Credits & Salvage[/p]
[p]In Season 1: Blockade, new Shipments for the Battle Pass were added regularly, unlocking access to new pages of rewards as they arrived. Starting with Season 2: Power Surge, all Battle Pass rewards will be available to unlock from day one. Earn those Battle Tokens to be among the first Pilots to construct Loki![/p][p]Additionally, Intel can now be obtained from the Battle Pass for free. You can earn up to 200 Intel through free progression, a crucial resource used to upgrade your best Builds.[/p][p]We’ve also rebalanced the Battle Pass and Free progression to give you even more Credits, Salvage, and Intel throughout the Pass. You can still complete at least one full Shipment (plus change) without upgrading your Pass, but Free progression will not award enough Battle Tokens to obtain the Torso or Chassis Modules on Shipment 2 and beyond. However, keep an eye on Daily Deals, and you can spend your Credits on the Modules and Weapons you seek![/p][p]A new Battle Pass will launch on July 29: Spark of Ingenuity. Be sure to collect all your rewards in Scavenger’s Haul before this date![/p]
Battle Pass Content Available in Daily Deals
[p]War Robots and Weapons will now launch in Daily Deals at the same time they’re available in the Battle Pass! This change is designed to give Pilots more options for unlocking battle gear, without having to spend WarpReals.[/p][p]With the launch of Season 2: Power Surge, Loki Modules and the Halo Weapon are now available in Daily Deals, along with Scorpion Modules and the Tusk Weapon from Season 1: Blockade.[/p]
Hero Pilot: Sora Sing
[p]Unleash the sparky Sora Sing (available in the Store) as your War Robot’s new Pilot. This infamous femme fatale has found herself with a public persona she may not deserve, taking the fall for war crimes which saw her stripped of her citizenship, and expatriated to the Wild Ten—the only place that would take her. [/p][p]While her fellow Pilots may not trust her just yet, her talents hit all the high notes, and her ability to reload faster and boost damage (among others) make her a more than capable Pilot. Remember, it’s not over until the Sora sings…[/p]
Map Updates: Spectrum & Fissure
[p]Both Spectrum and Fissure have received a massive facelift, along with better weather setups and improved terrain readability.[/p]
Weekly Jobs
[p]Weekly jobs now reset every Thursday instead of Sunday's[/p]

Tortuga Times: Tales from Season 1: Blockade
TORTUGA TIMES

MERCENARY CONTRACTS REPORTED ON THE WILD TEN
By Duke Blanko, Reporter (Mars News Network)

New reports from the Wild Ten today revealed that mercenary contracts have been issued to War Robot Pilots by the Freecon, Mayflower, and FortEvo Dominions. Military strategists and politicians have been meeting in secret to discuss the impact this will have on much-needed trade and mining facilities across the Wild Ten, once considered a safe haven for trade.

War Robots are said to be the ultimate war machines, equipped with top-of-the-line weapons and gear, and are only surpassed by a new technology—Titans. Even bigger and more dangerous, a Titan can wipe out a whole team of War Robots, leading to even more battles, and even more contracts for eager Pilots to take on.

As the residents, mechanics, leaders, and Pilots begin their journey down the road of war, only time will tell if these upcoming battles will result in anything other than mass destruction.
CHAOS ERUPTS AS TERMINUS SUPPLY LINES CUT
By Duke Blanko, Reporter (Mars News Network)

Chaos erupted today at Terminus, the gateway to the Wild Ten system. Pilots and residents alike could be seen panicking as supply lines were blocked, leaving the black market open for a comeback. One resourceful Pilot who refused to give his name (despite appearing to be followed by a lie detector drone) described the recent events as “an opportunity to make some quick cash with some bits I found… lying around.”

Mechanics are especially concerned with the supply port cut off, but have vowed to rebuild War Robots for Pilots taking on contracts. One such mechanic named “The Lace” told us, “The black market may be sketchy, but these Pilots need Modules, and we will provide them one way or another.”

While some Pilots fear an escalating conflict, for most, it's just another day in the Wild Ten.

Intel can now be obtained from the Battle Pass for free. Starting with the Scavenger’s Haul Battle Pass (launching June 17), you’ll be able to earn up to 200 Intel through free progression, a crucial resource used to upgrade your best Builds.
Battle Pass Content Coming to Daily Deals on Day One
War Robots and Weapons will launch in Daily Deals at the same time they’re available in the Battle Pass! This change is designed to give Pilots more options for unlocking battle gear, without having to spend WarpReals.

Season 2: Power Surge will introduce Loki Modules and the Halo Weapon to Daily Deals at the beginning of the Season, with Scorpion Modules and the Tusk Weapon from Season 1: Blockade also joining the Daily Deals roster.

We’ve also rebalanced the Battle Pass and Free progression to give you even more Credits, Salvage, and Intel throughout the Pass. You can still complete at least one full Shipment (plus change) without upgrading your Pass, but Free progression will not award enough Battle Tokens to obtain the Torso or Chassis Modules on Shipment 2 and beyond. However, keep an eye on Daily Deals, and you can spend your Credits on the Modules and Weapons you seek!
Daily Deals Refresh Changes
If you’re hunting for that perfect Module or Weapon, your first Daily Refresh will now cost 700 Credits instead of WarpReals. This is designed to increase your chances of getting the Daily Deal you want, without spending WarpReals. You should be able to earn this amount of Credits from a single Daily Job, so happy hunting and shopping, Pilots!

Further Daily Refreshes beyond your first will still cost WarpReals, with more Refreshes available at rising increments (starting at 15 WarpReals for your first, and increasing by 10 each time up to a maximum of 45 WarpReals).
Daily Deals Chances
You can check a new chance table on Daily Deals to view your percentage chance of seeing certain items based on their rarity. This is designed to increase transparency on the rewards available and set expectations on what you might find there.
Account Progression: New Account Levels & Rewards
More Account Levels and rewards have been added! Players can now progress to Level 95 (up from Level 80). The new progression rewards include a Cyclops War Robot (Factory Build), with new Modules available at every third Level (Levels 83, 86, 89, 92, 95). 30 Intel will be awarded at every other Level (e.g. Levels 81, 82, 84, etc.)

Even more Account Levels and progression rewards (including Scorpion Modules) will be added alongside the Spark of Ingenuity Battle Pass, launching July 29.
