Dear all,
As we near release, patches are accompanied alongside the upcoming early access build so that demo players get the most updated features as much as possible.
New features
- You'll now be able to drag the game window if you're in windowed mode.
- You can also drag across to a 2nd monitor if you wish. But the game will always start in the first monitor.
- Users with monitors having different resolutions and refresh rates may encounter tearing though. However, that can be handled with a change of resolution that supports the refresh frequency.
Changes
- Drift mode now has a slightly longer cooldown period between toggles. It'll now take around 350ms before you can turn on/off drift. This is to prevent accidental toggles by holding on to drift button/key.
- The mouse cursor is context sensitive - while it'll appear
ONLY during windowed mode games, it'll disappear once you start firing, moving, or pressing any buttons. This is to avoid a break in immersion.
- The mouse cursor will reappear if you choose to move your mouse.
Bug fixes
- Fixed a major issue with the old joystick API used. Previous joystick API can only detect
existing joysticks and is unstable when you plug in a 2nd or 3rd joystick. Best case scenario: Nothing will be detected like some reported in the community, Worst-case? The game crashes not by the fault the game itself.
- Now, you'll be able to plug in, disconnect joysticks at will. The game will also be context-aware and will pause the game at the right time to inform you. This will only happen a joystick that was already bound to a player using it. The game doesn't react if you just plug in and out a joystick.
- Fixed a bug with tutorial where if you skip, the tutorial fighters continue to spawn even during mission 1
- Fixed a bug where a non-playing joystick or keyboard can skip the tutorial.
Conclusion
The early access will also carry these features as mentioned and we look forward to hearing from you and will listen to your suggestions and complaints so as to make Starlight:Eye of The Storm a better game!
Thank You
