Alpha Update and Twitch Integration

Happy New Year Everyone!

2021 is the year we will get to finish and share the full version of Crooks Like Us with you and we are so excited!!


We just released an update to our alpha build before the holidays. We incorporated a lot of feedback that we received from testers, and so far we can see a big difference in the gameplay.

You can play the latest alpha version here in your web browser. It's free to try out and no install is required. It's really fun when chatting to friends via Discord or another voice app! There is a tutorial in-game, and you can use your keyboard, or plug in a controller.

Some key changes:

• Now you select 4 van gadgets to use BEFORE starting the game from the menu screen
  
• Each gadget has a recharge time after activating. However, you can use the money you earn in-game from stealing items to recharge the gadgets instantly.
  
• Catching mechanics have changed as well - now you don’t have to throw up the items to catch them, you just grab them right away which means you can steal faster.
  

Twitch viewer integration is our latest addition to the game - if you are a streamer, your viewers in the chat can use gadgets against you inside the level. They can drop an anvil or missile on you, or place a banana skin for you to slip on!
