Paper Planet is a planet-defender, arcade roguelike with a doodley, Flash-inspired artstyle. Battle through waves of unique enemies and bosses. Combine items with strange and wacky effects for insanely overpowered runs. Play with 1-4 players, for some chaotic co-op fun!

Want to contribute to a crowdsourced localization effort? You can do so here!

As a small team, localizations often need to be a late-development consideration. This wonderful, beautiful community has taken it upon themselves to voluntarily contribute a complete Russian localization!! We are working to ensure that is fully implemented in time for our launch.

We will continue to add additional languages when time and resources allow. In the meantime, we wanted to create a centralized location where fans can contribute localizations for their preferred languages. Registration for Localizor is entirely free, and will allow you to submit suggestions, and vote on those provided by others in the community. The more languages we're able to crowdsource, the faster they can be added to Paper Planet! ā¤ļø

- Gave Raw Adamantine a shield icon over health and sound effect when it triggers.
- Item text now renders over the planet.
- Fixed clicking on book background of statistics scrolling to the top.
- Fixed Railroad Bullets not interacting with items correctly + updated its descriptions.
- Fixed Dividers erroneously having their speed exponentially grow when splitting due to Spice of Zoomies.
- Fixed Lerben Cola not functioning with Plane Planet.
- Fixed Phase Bullets and Rubber Band Ball not removing their planet-phasing effect when removed.
- Fixed generic items that give Max Health not removing their health modifier when removed.
- Fixed Max Health in general not recompiling its stat correctly at all.
- Fixed enemies that killed you never being recorded.
- Fixed Bay Blade not using the correct rotation when being fired from non-player sources.
- Fixed the seed in the post-run screen not being the actual run seed.
- Fixed game events TryPlayerHit and TryComboLost not preserving successes correctly.
- Gave Magnet a custom bullet sprite
- Gave spiral bullets a custom bullet sprite
- Fixed Mr Stabby sometimes flying offscreen AGAIN
- Fixed beam buddy spawning stationary flasks with flask cannon
- Doubled the amount of metacurrency bossrush gives
- Reduced base planet price and made planet price increase with each one you purchase
- Added backgrounds to item box descriptions (and pickups)
- Fixed seeds so they now work with unlocks and metaprogression!
- Gave the continue box a propeller and slightly increased the amount of time you have to shoot at it
- Fixed item effect animations playing at the wrong speed
- Buffed the maximum rate lightning bottle can spawn extra bullets
- Fixed tesla coil electricity masking UI elements
- Buffed Joyous Oil to take 35% of your HP instead of 30%
- Added lots of new background debris!
- Fixed the post-run screen's "Killed By" window having weird bits in it

The Paper Planet Co-op Update is here!

Welcome Paper Planeteers!

As of today, local co-op support has officially been added to the Steam demo, and will be available in the game's full release! You can now enjoy Paper Planet with 1-4 players. While there isn't integrated online support, you can still play together using Steam's Remote Play Together feature.

While most of this will be excluded from the demo, we are hard at work expanding the main game! Here's some of what you can expect:

Hello everyone! This is Graeme, the guy behind 2 Left Thumbs. You may recognize that name, either from my YouTube channel, or from the flagship title under this publishing label: Dead Estate!

My interest is in working with small teams, like Doodlegames, whose interests and preferences in video games overlap my own. And as anyone who follows me will know, I have a deep seeded love for all things Flash-related. That's the world I grew up in, and seeing that legacy embraced and modernized through Paper Planet is something I absolutely could not resist! Mix that with my more recent roguelike obsession, and Paper Planet might actually be the game that MOST embodies the 2 Left Thumbs publishing label!!

  • The seed listed in the pause menu and win screen is now selectable and copyable.
  • Quitting and restarting from the pause menu now has a confirmation box that appears.
  • Bullets created by Detonator now inherit the properties of the bullet that killed the enemy.
  • Singularity Generator's animation now stops tracking the mouse when the game is paused.
  • Shrank the "Paused" header of the pause menu slightly.
  • Bullets will no longer get stuck in the planet due to Rubber Band Ball.
  • Fixed player dust spawning incorrectly when holding both movement keys.
  • (Hopefully) fixed combo rarely not pausing correctly upon bosses spawning.
  • Fixed player input sometimes getting lost due to low framerate.
  • Fixed Mirror Bullets not firing charged bullets from the correct position.
