News on the Enhanced Version
A bit of sad news about the Enhanced version, but not enough to make us feel like the end of the world.
I've been working on it for years, the game has gone through several editor changes, and as Unity 2023 hasn't been updated since April, a few months ago I decided to try the impossible and rebuild my game on the latest tech system I've developed. The system in question works in both Newcomer Gold and the TH sequel, and you should know that it has a completely different structure compared to TH. After a few months of hard, sluggish work, I finally realized that, although it is not impossible in theory, it would take so much time that it was not really worth my while. So I decided to give up the idea and concentrate my creative energies on my other projects.
That said, TH has already undergone huge changes, which means that I still need a lot of time to get a bug-free version. I'm currently aware of one major bug and a few minor ones, but I'm sure there will be quite a few more. An interesting and positive development is that until now I thought that Unity 2023 was incapable of producing a normal build, but a recent experiment has proven that this is not true. The problem may have been that some components were not updated, and this was interfering with the build.
Nevertheless, I would be happy if they released an LTS (Long Term Support) version as soon as possible, because I would be much more relaxed.
