After working on demons for a few weeks at the end of the last year,
Let's kick start this year with some excellent content updates.
First thing for this week is...
Christian shall be more badass!
Well, this is just a new character appearance you can use for your main character or any customized teammates. He is an upcoming story character in the North Peak.
Yes, in the North Peak, there is a garrison from the Holy Order of the Eternal Staff. After all, who else can take on the task to guard a place that sealed the devil and defeat waves of demons, heretics, and other factions who want to unleash the great evil?
As such, normal members of the Eternal Staff also received some visual upgrades.
But, looking cool alone certainly cannot defeat the demons they are facing. Thus, they also have some war gear upgrades.
You can purchase those gun modifications from their Quartermaster as well.
The faith itself shall also be further enhanced!
This is the first miracle of Jesus Christ. Thus, through their faith, the faithful shall be able to pray to recreate such a miracle and turn water into wine.
(If that does not work, well, we can always make wine with a brewing machine.)
Statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary are now also common furniture items.
Other than decorating your rooms, Christian characters have additional options when interacting with them.
They seem to have just random content updates. But here is an example strategy: Pray in front of a Statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary to gain devotion -> Pray to turn water into wine by spending devotion -> Use wine to make a Molotov -> burn the heretics!

Alright, that's for the side of faith. The side of Hell also received some new content. Otherwise, things will be too easy. But, as we all know, all things worth doing are hard. And the strong chose to do hard things on purpose. Thus, there shall be even more variations of demons.
The first floor of the North Peak is a huge ice cave. Thus, we naturally get new ice demons known as Ice Hollows. If you kill enough of them, you can learn more about their natural strength and weaknesses. But, here is a hint, just burn them with fire!
There is also a new type of demon worship that does not follow just one demon lord.
A new heresy just appeared:
The Chaos Undivided...err...wait, it's actually the Seven Sins Undivided. But you get the idea.
It has some features of each of those seven demon lords, but none of them is as strong as the followers dedicated to one demon lord.
Well, that only means you have more heretics to burn. (Or, if you wish, you can also join them since the game has a lot of freedom. But, let's not go down this dark path right now.)
Now, since both sides are prepared enough, it's time to venture into the North Peak itself.
Actually, this part is the main story update of this week.
Players from the SAPC++ era will immediately recognize the internal space of this location. The big map structure of this location is unchanged. It also has tons of traps and puzzles like before. We even get an upgraded QTE system just for some of the traps here. But, since a Christian order has taken over the defense of this location. Many puzzles have been replaced with something more... biblical.
We also have some returning characters from the last war.
In an optional part of this location, the Guardian of Water is still here, giving out free holy water.
But, since he is much older now, he will not suddenly attack you to test if you are worthy of this renewed crusade. His room is the only safe place on the first floor where you can rest.
Of course, there will undoubtedly be some people who don't like such religious content.
