Hi, everyone! Welcome to February, and this is the first diary entry of this month.
There are a lot of things going on this week. Most of them are good. But that has some impact on the game development. As such, this week's diary is once again a bit like a bag of everything diary.
Alright, let's get started.
First, the Boombox received upgrades to its customization options.

As one of the most used features people enjoy beyond the game itself, the Boombox will certainly receive constant new content and upgrades. This week, you can now customize not just the window skins but also the animation. As you can basically play any song from your machine, now it's totally possible to have Trump dance when you play YMCA. Kristin's Christmas singing animation is also in, as some of you enjoyed the previous Christmas video.
In addition to those new features, a new song <> is now also in the playlist. Because of potential spoilers, it's currently only available in the game, unlike some of the previous songs that you can find on various social media channels of the game. Basically, it reveals another part of Tanya's plan to lead NEOLITHIA beyond reality. The original idea comes from a Funny Valentine (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) speech. But you will find it quite fit in the game.
Before we reach the deepest part of the North Peak, I will likely add more content for Tanya so that her appearance in the final confrontation will not feel too sudden.
Next, more characters just arrived in the Eternal Staff Garrison.
The Samujier inquisition certainly wants to keep a close eye on the holy order operating on their territory. Even though they are allies, different factions still have their different goals and priorities.
Thus, an inquisitor is here to observe the development.
Once again, the animation is the result of another AI-based system.
But not everyone can maintain an undying faith in this holy war; there is also a priest who grew numb and indifferent after so many losses.
Well, at least, he is still willing to train you to improve your light-element proficiency. Just don't expect him to risk his life to save the world anymore.
Other supporting characters, such as a Caretaker, have also appeared in the garrison to provide you with various services before you go deeper.
As such, everything on the North Peak up to the third floor has been completed. On the third floor, you will find the last human defense before a holy seal. Beyond this line, there will be automated defenses to prevent human error or anyone from falling under the temptation of the great evil that has been sealed inside. On the other hand, that's where Zhang Yin plans to break in if you have progressed the main story far enough.
What else?
We also have various other features among this week's updates.
You can now set up how genders work in your world. All the options are yours to define.
You can remove non-binary from most parts of the world.
You can ban cross-dressing.
You can bring back the good old days, when games only had male and female as gender options.
But you can also choose to face the mad world head-on and see what will happen.
That is the freedom you can have in this game.
The doorway now has more details on the exact location you will travel to on the world map. You can now see an animation of their coordinate after you select them. Eventually, we will open more doors in this world as the veil grows thinner over the years of conflict in this secret war.
Now, here is the thing: as we take every step going towards a better future, with every update, it's important to stay healthy. As such, we shall now have deep-sea fish oil rich in Omega-3! Yes, that's just I try to make this new cooking system feature sound fancy. But, anyway, in real life, Omega-3 does help. It's the fuel to the brain. In the game, its effect provides a small bonus to your magic power and your Max MP for a short while. Of course, deep-sea fish oil comes from deep-sea fish. You can acquire them in various ways. You can trade with the Deep Ones. You can go fishing in the sea with those captains you can find in Marinas. You can even just purchase some from some local fish vendors. Then you can use those deep-sea fish to make oil or cook with them directly. Any dishes you cook with deep-sea fish oil or deep-sea fish can provide you with the Omega-3 effects. Alternatively, you can also use that oil to build a Molotov to light up your enemies as usual, especially if you are deeply devoted to a course of burning heretics in your customized faith system. :D
Alright, that's for this week. The main story will soon reach a point where "there is no return" again soon. But, before that, more preparations are required to build up many characters that will appear in this confrontation.
