Howdy, miners, diggers and prospectors! Now it's the time to truly dig deeper. First of all, a big thanks to all of you who supported us during the Early Access. Couldn't have done it without you.

A mysterious mountain top featuring strange temples, statues and otherwordly devices. These mines will be more challenging and dangerous than the previous ones. The area will introduce a new enemy type, new puzzles and treasures. Check out this previously released video for more teasing:

[h2]The Golem[/h2]

A new enemy type, the golem, is sleeping in the mines. A strong suggestion is to not disturb his sleep, and if you do, trust your fight or flight instinct.

Howdy cave diggers!

On September 14th, 2021, we released Cave Digger 2: Dig Harder on Steam Early Access. We did it to test the game on a bigger audience and receive valuable feedback from our dedicated VR prospectors. Now it's finally time to release the full version of the game!

First things first, the price will go up at the full release so now it's a good time to purchase the game with the early access discount and invite your friends to join in.

And let's talk a bit about the biggest changes coming...

[h2]Tool upgrades/changes[/h2]



Shovel

As seen in the video above, the biggest upgrade will be to the shovel. You'll get a grappling hook mechanic to it and oh boy, it's been an instant hit in our internal testing sessions. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Pan

Slotting the pan in the arm slots will now transform it into a shield! Quite handy against those plasma shrimp projectiles.

Using the gold pan is also now considerably easier and faster.

[h2]Endings[/h2]

Three new completely unique endings will be added. Not spoiling anything about those yet.



[h2]The Golem[/h2]

Other changes include things like new cosmetics (now unlockable), achievements, chompy stuff and other small things. Of course a lot of bug fixing and performance work has been going on in the background.

Now fear not, this is not the end of the development. We have a bunch of content still planned and coming, but more about that later.

So, we've been asking many local indie artists to submit songs to be used in Cave Digger 2 and this is the last one! Jukka Takalo is a musician and a singer-songwriter from Oulu. We recommend to check his other music too.


Many of the songs will be included in one of the multiple endings in game. The first one is already in-game!
