Improvements and New Features
Hello KeepUp Survival Community,
I’m excited to announce that another update has been released, bringing additional improvements and changes.

 • A helicopter has been added.
 • The flashlight no longer wobbles when running.
 • The stance and carrying position of the torch have been improved.
 • You can now climb over small and large obstacles.
 • The jump animation has been reworked.
 • The overall posture of the character has been optimized.
 • Animation transitions have been made smoother.
 • Adjustments have been made to the first-person view (more to follow).
 • Upon request, the camera position while riding the horse has been raised slightly, as there were occasional issues with blocked visibility. Improvements have been made.
 • Certain elements of the HUD, such as the interaction display, are now hidden when using the horse or paraglider.
 • The paraglider sound has been adjusted so that it now gradually increases during use instead of playing immediately at full volume.
 • The vehicle camera has been fixed, and the issue with the camera twisting has been resolved.
 • The starting positions on Lost Island, Red Desert, and Tropical Island have been reworked.
 • The crashed plane has been added to Red Desert and Tropical Island.
Optimizations
Due to poor performance, particularly on Lost Island, adjustments were made. Unfortunately, these did not yield the desired results, so only parts of the performance improvements have been implemented. More will follow.

The current focus is on balancing the workload between the GPU and CPU. At the moment, the GPU is handling most of the work.

Many are wondering why the performance isn’t meeting expectations. KeepUp Survival is based on the current UE5 engine, which is designed for the next generation. Unfortunately, optimizations to improve performance don’t always go as planned and often don’t bring the desired results.

To counter this, FSR 3 was introduced in a previous update, which doubles the framerate, allowing for a smoother experience on older hardware systems.
Data Restructuring
Adjustments have been made to better sort and prioritize data. This is intended to help reduce load times and improve performance.

These changes will allow future updates to be managed more efficiently and will also reduce data shifting on Steam.
Gamepad
Due to high demand for full gamepad support, I am working on fulfilling this request. Unfortunately, this is not going completely smoothly. The main issue currently is implementing full controller support, which is being hindered by the drag-and-drop feature. For unexplained reasons, certain functions aren’t being adopted as expected. Forcing drag-and-drop with the gamepad makes the functions work as desired but causes issues with the mouse.

I wanted to highlight this issue to show that I’m working on it and striving to introduce this feature.
Bug Fixes
Numerous other small bugs have been fixed.
