Community Poll: Should the big Werewolf Return as an Optional Feature?

Hello Community,
[p]recently I’ve been asked again whether the large werewolf mutant from the early development stages of KeepUp Survival should make a comeback.[/p][p]For those who don’t know:
At the very beginning of development, there was already a large werewolf in the game. At the time, interest in it was rather low. Since KeepUp Survival was designed from the start as a classic survival game with a strong focus on base building and exploring nature, I later decided to remove it.[/p][p]In the past, I’ve seen that bigger changes to the game’s direction can be received very differently. Because of that, one thing is especially important to me:[/p][p]👉 The main game should keep its identity.
I don’t want to introduce unexpected changes that are forced on existing players.[/p][p]That said, I still want to take current community feedback seriously and discuss this openly with you.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Poll[/h2][p]How do you feel about a possible werewolf comeback?[/p][p]- Yes, but only as an optional feature (e.g. a toggleable mode or world option)

Vehicle Storage & Campfire Saving Changes

[h2]Hello Community, [/h2][p]I have just released a new update.[/p][p]This update includes adjustments to the saving system for vehicles and the fixed campfires in the world.[/p][p]Previously, vehicles could only be used to transport items, but it was not possible to store them between sessions. At your request, I have changed this:
From now on, the contents of the storage box on the vehicle will remain saved.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]In addition, I am currently working on changes to the fixed campfires in the world. These campfires were originally never intended to store items; storage was only meant to work with self-placed campfires.
I have now started implementing a change so that the contents of fixed campfires in the world will also persist and remain saved.[/p][p]Saving already works very well. However, there are still some issues when loading, especially when multiple fixed campfires are used. I am currently working on resolving this.[/p][p]*This change only affects the fixed campfires in the world, self-crafted campfires are not affected.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Tropical Island[/p][p]The reported bug in Tropical Island, where the location was not loaded correctly from the helicopter, has now been fixed and improved.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for your feedback and continued support! Gameplay Improvements & Bug Fix Update

[h2]Hello Community, [/h2][p]I have just released a new update.[/p][p]This update fixes several issues and includes a number of small improvements.[/p][p]Due to requests about removing annoying bushes when placing objects or building parts: I wasn’t able to fully implement this feature yet. However, I have cleared and leveled larger areas across the Lost Island map and adjusted them to fit the landscape. You can now build on these spots without having bushes getting in the way.[/p][p]You can still raise and lower building parts, such as foundations, whenever needed.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Another point I picked up from a review concerns hit notifications. Previously, when hitting something, particle effects and a sound were played. However, at longer distances, especially when killing animals, these were hard to see or hear, making it unclear whether a hit was successful.
I have now added an additional sound that gives you a clear audio cue when you land a hit. The hit is also more clearly displayed in the HUD. This hit feedback is currently only available for projectile-based weapons and the crossbow, not for melee weapons like the axe.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]In addition, a small dock has been added for exploration. It’s not very large yet, but more will be added in future updates.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Additionally, a bug was fixed that caused companions to fly through the sky when dying. The issue was related to faulty collision handling, which resulted in unintended collisions during death and produced this unwanted effect.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Updates are currently a bit smaller, as I am a solo developer and need to balance development with learning new things, making preparations, handling marketing, and more. I am also preparing crossplay support for my games, which is an important feature. Bug Fixes, Improvements & a Look Ahead at Crossplay

[h2]Hello Community, [/h2][p]I have just released a new update for the game.[/p][p]In this update, I fixed several issues and made a few small improvements. I would also like to talk about a topic that is very important to me: Crossplay.[/p][p]I am planning to make the game crossplay-ready in the future to allow cross-platform play. This means that players from Steam, Epic, or other platforms will be able to play together without having to buy the game again or create an additional account. Simply start the game, invite your friends, and play together, while everyone stays on their preferred platform.[/p][p]However, since my options are somewhat limited here and crossplay has already become a sensitive topic in many multiplayer games, I would really like to hear your opinion. I have received both positive and negative feedback about crossplay, and it is important to me to know what you think. In the end, this feature should benefit the players.[/p][p]Other changes in this update:[/p]
  • [p]Based on a user’s feedback, I adjusted the top three buttons in the inventory so they are now easier to see and recognize.[/p]
  • [p]The bug that allowed the horse to walk on water has been fixed. From now on, the horse can no longer walk on water. Some players found this amusing because it avoided long detours, but it was unintended behavior.[/p]
  • [p]A bug with the companion has been fixed. Due to an issue from earlier updates, the companion’s commands were blocked in the game world. These commands now work normally again. I will continue to take a closer look at the companions to improve them further.[/p]
  • [p]In addition, a small new location has been added to the world. More expansions are already planned.[/p]
