[Dev Note] Reinforce Equipment Durability, Mech suit, TerraShop, Skins, New Guns
Greetings from Orbis! Director K here with another developer update for you.
I know you’ve all been waiting in anticipation for another chance to play Dysterra. And our team has enjoyed seeing the creative memes you’ve been posting in the Discord channels.
Over the past month, our developer team at Reality MagiQ has been hard at work making improvements and adding even more features to the game.
📒 Reinforce your equipment! ⚒️
Durability low? Not any more!
Introducing Level 2 repair benches! They come with all of the same features as
the Level 1 repair benches, but with the ability to increase your items’ total durability.

We heard players’ complaints about needing to bring several guns on a facility raid,
and now that should be a thing of the past.
For example: Instead of packing two guns with their default durability, you can upgrade one gun
so it will last longer while you’re exploring the map or taking down a facility.
📒 Rideable mech suits! 🦾
Our team was thinking… 4-wheeled vehicles are great and all, but what if it was possible
to stomp around in a juggernaut suit and blast enemies with a volley of rockets?
Well now it’s possible. Players will now be able to control Proto-Juggernaut suits while fighting
the Delta Plant bosses. They’re currently only accessible inside the fighting arena, and you can’t
take them through the portal (balancing reasons and all). So be sure to try them out the next time
you drop by the Delta Plant in the Delta region.
📒 Skin Systems 🧵
We’ve added new skins for you to enjoy. They can be collected by watching Dysterra streams on Twitch, or by completing missions in game. There’ll be a good mix of skins ready,
so be sure to grab them!
📒 The Terra Shop 🏪
For all of you survivors wanting to look sharp while you’re running through the Geolab, or doing donuts around your friend’s base in your new vehicle, we’ve added a Terra Shop to the game’s lobby screen. This is where you can buy all the latest outfits and get new skins for your guns.
You can buy things from the Terra Shop with terrapoints.
But what’s a terrapoint you ask?
Terrapoints can be earned daily by logging in, and they’ll also be paid out weekly to players according to their ranking tier. You can think of it as a wage paid out to the survivors that work the hardest to mine Terrasite for Orbis. Once you’ve earned enough terrapoints, you’ll be able to spend them to get all kinds of weapon or armor skins.
📒 New Gun Type 🔫
And finally, we’ve added two new guns to the game to give you more choice in your style of gameplay:
DMR SW-1 Venator
A rare-tier(blue), light ammo designated marksman rifle(DMR) with better armor penetration than standard DMRs, giving you that extra edge when you’re fighting for your life.
DMR ASW-82 Stalker
An epic-tier(purple), light ammo designated marksman rifle(DMR) that has a smart-ammo ability. Shooting a target marks it, and each successive shot will bend and twist through the air towards
its marker.

The catch?
The marker is reset when you cancel it, or line-of-sight to the opponent is lost.
Opponents using the stealth ability cannot be targeted. Shots taken using the smart-ammo
ability cause less damage than shots taken normally.
I’ll be back next week with even more updates!
Orbis thanks you for your service!
