[Dev Note] Only One Day Left!

Greetings from Orbis!

I can’t believe it!!! It’s finally here!!!!!!
In only a few hours, Dysterra will be released into Early Access.

Thank you all for your support and help during the long development process. We would have never come this far without you.

It’s taken years of hard work to get here, and we hope you love what we’ve made so far. Of course this is Early Access, so we’ll be adding new elements and improvements to the game on a regular basis.

This week we’ve added steam achievements, some more story elements, a new single-player ending, and more details and functionality to journal entries. We’ve also made damage types (energy/physical) a more integral part of the game.
📒 In-Game Achievements
We’ve linked steam achievements to your in-game profile so now you can show off your highest-tier achievements to your friends.
📒 Damage Types
Up until now, the choice between using physical ammo or energy ammo was simply a matter of preference, but now it’s an important part of gameplay progression.

We’ve implemented damage types to enemies, so you’ll need to consider which gun to take with you on your next outing. If you’re going up against some biological enemies like Hyena troops or just going out to hunt for meat, then physical ammo is what you want. But if you’re going to be taking down dozens of Orbis robots, you’ll want to bring along an energy-type weapon.
📒 Story & LORE!
Now that we have the gameplay figured out. We’re working hard on adding depth to Dysterra’s in preparation for our official release down the road.

Over your next few playthroughs, you’ll notice a few new details being spoken by Vanessa and NPCs during specific events throughout the world, so keep your ears peeled over the coming weeks and months as we develop and implement little details to add depth to the world of Dysterra.
📒 3 Separate Endings! (in Single-Player mode)
There are now three separate endings in single player mode. I don’t want to spoil the fun of finding them.

But for all of you out there that love a good hint, here’s a picture:
📒 More Detailed Journal Entries
The journal is an essential element to any survival game, and we wanted to make our journal a place where you can find the information you need, when you need it. We’ve changed the UI quite a bit, so now you get more information at a glance.

You can even click a button in the journal entry to immediately move to the crafting screen where you can start making the item you were looking at.

You can even turn the tutorial (mission guide) on and off by checking/unchecking the box on the top left of the journal screen.

Thank you again for all of the encouragement and support you’ve given us so far. I look forward to seeing you all on the servers tomorrow!
📌Known Issue and Feature upvote operation Notice
Additionally, we would like to thank all of the survivors who left various opinions even before the start of Early Access.

We are preparing the Known Issue Notice and operation of the Feature Upvote website so that survivors with various opinions can conveniently check issues and leave comments much more easily.

Please check below for details.

[Known Issue Notice]
This is a notice to disclose the thoughts of the Dev team regarding errors that occur while installing or playing the game, in-game bugs, or status(progress) to suggestions.

The Known issue notice will be announced as often as possible according to the progress of reports from survivors.

[Feature Upvote Operation]
We plan to introduce Feature Upvote to manage survivors' suggestions more systematically.
Among the suggestions collected through various communities, those requiring additional comments will be published in Feature Upvote.
Of course, you can also leave your comments directly on the Feature Upvote.

* What is Feature Upvote?
Feature Upvote is a website where Admin or survivors directly register their suggestions and share their opinions. There is an upvote(recommendation) and a comment function.

Valuable information from survivors serves as a foundation for making Dysterra more interesting.
Many comments are appreciated.

Good luck staying alive out there!!
