[Dev Note] Getting Ready for Season 2
It’s almost time for Season 2!!!!
We know you’re curious about what a new Season will mean for you, your rankings, and for the player base as a whole. This week’s dev note will hopefully dispel any questions or concerns you have about what’s going to happen next week when we update the servers.

If all things go smoothly, we’re planning to update the servers on February 1st. If nothing goes to plan, and everything goes sideways, we’ll update on February 2nd at the latest.

You’ll have to wait until next Tuesday’s patch/update note to find out. But I can assure you that we have lots of new items, new NPCs, plenty of underground space to explore, and hopefully an influx of new players to keep you on your toes.

[h2]📒 Server Updates[/h2]
- All servers will be wiped during maintenance. Any progress you have will disappear during the wipe.
- Following maintenance, each region will have two server options: a PvP server & a PvE server
- Select region(s) may also have a hardcore server.
[h2]📒 My Ranking (and Achievements)[/h2]
- All global and server rankings and related scores will be reset during server maintenance.
- For ranking purposes, any points earned before the scheduled maintenance on February 1st will be reflected in Season 1 rankings. Season 2 will begin immediately after we complete maintenance and the servers reopen.
- Season 1 points and rankings will in no way affect Season 2 points or rankings.
- Rankings from previous global seasons will eventually be visible from a drop down menu in your player profile sometime following the February 1st update but not right away. Server specific rankings will be lost forever, so be sure to take a screenshot if you want to compare your progress across seasons.
[h2]📒 Skins & Terrapoints[/h2]
- You’ll keep all of your current TP(terrapoints) as well as any skins you’ve acquired through lobby chests or Twitch drops.
[h2]📒 Steam Achievements[/h2]
- We’ll be updating our current steam achievement requirements, but never fear! You’ll keep all current steam achievements regardless of any changes to their requirements.
