📢Notification of Known Issues as of January 4th, 2023

Greetings, survivors!
This is Team Dysterra.

Some of the known issues have been resolved and improved through the last update on January 2nd, and new issues to be resolved in the next update have been added.

Known issue notifications are to disclose the thoughts of the Dev team regarding errors that occur while installing or playing the game, in-game bugs, or status(progress).
They will be announced as often as possible according to the progress of reports from players.


[h3]📌 Recently resolved or reflected 📌[/h3]
✅ Balanced the increase/decrease of Terrafire eruption date when using the Facility Phase Controller
✅ Improved chance of hacking Secure crates additionally
✅ Fixed an issue where an error occurred when accessing the Buildingcore when another user installed a repeater near the Buildingcore
✅ Increased Forge energy consumption level

[h3]🚧 Issues to be fixed in the next update 🚧[/h3]
The time of application of these fixes may be delayed due to the priority of the update preparation process, but they will all be applied as soon as possible.

🔧 An issue where foundations cannot be installed in some places after removing trees

🔧 An issue where an attempt to farm a new item is blocked when the inventory is full, and then the farming attempt fails again after securing a space in the inventory

🔧 An issue where Boss NPC Juggernaut and Grima get stuck in a certain area

🔧 Fixed an issue where “*” was displayed when entering a single-byte number in a custom server name

🔧 Fixed an issue where the Sliding Door degrades even though there is no problem with the Buildingcore energy

🔧 Fixed an issue where players other than the driver could not hear the sound of the car and the wheels would not move when riding in a vehicle

🔧 Minimized frame drop while playing the game.

🔧 Problem of character creation notation error in the lobby server list.

  prevent monopolization and abuse by some users. However, since we are aware of the
  inconvenience caused to survivors, we are considering reducing the restricted area,
  and will reflect some in the next update.

🧪 Difficulty level problem for field boss juggernaut

  💬We are working on the problem that it was too easy to target by advantaging some terrain,
  and Juggernaut will be back to survivors with an improvement.

🧪 Considering providing a skill reset method

  💬We sympathize with the need for a skill reset, and we are thinking about how we would
  apply it on Dysterra. For example, we are reviewing a way to reset skills by acquiring items
  through crafting or Facility raids.

🧪 Fixed an issue where the character could not aim below fully

🧪 Fixed an issue where the hotkey worked when using the search function on a workbench, etc.

🧪 Issues with installations being installed improperly

  like a workbench very close to the walls or automatically aligning depending on the direction
  the character is standing.

🧪 Changing existing settings for Single Player mode

  because it was impossible to change the settings in the middle of Single Player mode.
  You can change the Single Player mode settings by modifying the contents of the file located
  in the folder below.

🧪 Planned improvements to the long crafting time of forges

  💬The existing balance was set to encourage the forges to operate automatically while
  the player explores the world and loots major bases and facilities,
  but we are considering introducing the ‘Forge Upgrade System’ as quickly as possible
  to incorporate opinions from players.
  We will be back soon with better and hopefully more intuitive forges.

Happy New Year, Survivors!!

I hope you’re all feeling refreshed and ready to start 2023! A good portion of our team used the end of December to get some much-needed R&R, so our patch this week is a little smaller than usual.

This week’s patch includes the end of the Christmas Skin event, some new permanent items to replace the temporary Christmas ones, two new weapons, and a few other small changes we’ve made to make Dysterra more enjoyable.

[h2]🎄Christmas is over.😥[/h2]

It’s the new year, and that means taking down Christmas trees and putting away the decorations until next year. I know you’ll all be sad to lose those decorations around your base, but don’t worry! The trees will still be where you put them, just without their decorations. Your storage boxes will also still have their Christmas skins, but you won’t be able to apply the Christmas skin to any new box.

[h2]📒 2 New Weapons![/h2]
We’ve also got two new weapons for you all this week! One gun, and one melee knife.

[h3]Nadelfein[/h3]


The Nadelfein is a blue-tier(tier 3) bolt-action sniper rifle that uses physical ammo.
Being a bolt-action rifle, the time between shots is longer than other guns, so aim well before your enemy jumps out of range.


[h3]Cold Steel[/h3]


Cold Steel is a blue-tier (tier 3) combat knife. It’s not quite as strong as other similar melee weapons, but its light weight allows for a faster rate of attack. It can also be thrown at an enemy if they start running away.


[h2]📒 Goodbye “Pudding”, Hello “Cleansing Shot”[/h2]
The reactions to the Christmas consumables were positive, so we’ve decided to make permanent items that have the same abilities.

Starting from this patch, we’ll be introducing 2 new craftable items and 1 new item drop.

[h3]Cleansing Shot[/h3]

The “Cleansing Shot” is a craftable item that will partially heal radiation, bleeding, and fracture status effects.

[h3]System Cooldown Pack[/h3]

The “System Cooldown Pack” is a craftable item that will reduce the time required to cool down from a failed hacking attempt.

[h3]Prime Bear Meat / Prime Bear Steak[/h3]

“Prime Bear Meat” has a chance to drop when gathering bear meat. It needs to be cooked first, but it’s very filling.

[h2]🌎 Making the world more believable[/h2]

As we start to implement more stories into our game, we want the world of Dysterra to make more sense and be more believable. We’ve replaced Orbis robots with Hyena troops in specific places around the map and added a few Hyena guard posts around the map as well. For those of you that want to know more about the world of Dysterra, I’ll be sharing parts of the backstory of Ararat Island and Orbis in the (very) near future.

[h2]🔧 Other Adjustments[/h2]
Some other things we fixed this time around include fixing emotes so your view doesn’t clip through your survivor’s body when you pan around while emoting.

We’ve heard player comments about the difficulty of finding a team to help tackle the harder facilities. As a result, we’ve lengthened a portion of NPC respawn times at the Chemochamber and the Meteocenter. We’ve also reduced the number of NPC spawns at the Meteocenter while at the same time reducing the total time required to “occupy” each sector. Lastly, we’ve lowered the total HP of Bombbugs at the Satellite Station.

One last thing to take into consideration is that we’ve changed the default world length to 336 days(14 days IRL), and we’ve also changed it so that worlds will last for at least 240 days (10 days IRL). This means that you can shorten or extend a server’s life, but you can only shorten it to a certain degree. We did this to give more casual players a chance to enjoy the game over the course of a week, but to also still allow players to have control over the world's lifespan.

That concludes this week’s patch note. I know it’s not as big as usual, but I hope you’ll understand that our team needed some rest after working so hard following our launch in late November. We’re all back in the office now and ready to get back to work, so I’ll see you all again next week!

[Patch Note] Emotes!!

I hope you’re all ready for the new year. I know the Dysterra team definitely is!!

I think you’ll like this week’s update. We’ve got a brand new emote system for you to try out, as well as 2 new weapons, 3 new attachments, and some UI changes. As always, let us know what you think on the Discord server!

[h2]📒 Emote Yourself![/h2]
Communication with other players is part of what makes a game fun. Typing in the chat window can be a pain during intense situations, and there’s always a chance that your teammates won’t see it.

With emotes you can communicate more easily with other survivors by holding the F4 button, hovering over the action you want to perform, and then releasing the F4 button. We’ve programmed it so you’re unable to use an emote while you’re jumping, gliding, swimming, crouching, or aiming.

- You’re done
- Bang
- Clap
- Surrender
- Shhh
- Go
- Hate (No thanks)

[h2]📒 2 New Weapons[/h2]
[h3]SUBMACHINE GUN MMP-500X ECLAIR[/h3]
This tier-3 (Blue Tier) gun inflicts the bleeding status effect in addition to regular damage.



[h3]TOMAHAWK[/h3]
This throwable weapon can also be used to hack your enemies into pieces. It’s slightly weaker than the BF Machete, but the fact that it gives enemies the “bleeding” status effect more than makes up the difference.



[h2]📒 Other Improvements To Weapons[/h2]
- 3 new gun attachments: an advanced silencer, an advanced compensator, and an advanced vertical grip
- Louder guns are more likely to catch the attention of NPCs.
- Melee weapons are more powerful across the board.
- The BF Machete, as well as both types of cyclops claws, now give the “bleeding” status effect.

[h2]📒 Terrafire Countdown UI Improvement[/h2]
We heard some survivors complaining about the terrafire countdown being annoying and covering the main part of the screen for far too long. We’ve changed it so that now the countdown is more discrete until there’s only 1 day left (1 hour of real world time).

[h2]📒 “Skip All” Button[/h2]
We know there are quite a few pop-ups when you load into the game for the first time each day. For people that are in a hurry, and want to get into the servers as fast as possible, we’ve added an “X” in the upper right corner that you can click to skip all of the achievement and point notifications.
