Terminus: Zombie Survivors - V0.9.9 Supplemental Update (Beta)

Hey everyone!

I'm excited to announce the deployment of the 0.9.9 supplemental update for Terminus: Zombie Survivors on our beta branch.

This update focuses on providing features that many of you have frequently requested. I've added the following:

    An option to disable permanent death.
    Map note functionality.
    Customization options for companions in Survival Partner/Squad.

In addition to these, I've improved texture art and gameplay. The full list of changes can be found in the in-game patch notes, and I'll make another announcement once the beta period ends. I always appreciate your support in playing Terminus.

How to participate in the beta: Go to your Steam Library > Right-click on Terminus: Zombie Survivors > Select "Properties" > Navigate the "Betas" tab > Select the “beta – Beta branch.”

  • Applied localization for achievements in Japanese, Russian, and Spanish to the Steam system.
  • Revised the description of the martial artist's 'Counter Attack' skill at level 4 for clearer understanding.

Terminus: Zombie Survivors - V0.9.9 Hotfix

  • Fixed the translation error for the Level 4 'First Aider' perk.
  • Restored the missing 2 AP required for harvesting actions.
  • Fixed a bug where the harvest amount required for the 'Green Thumb' achievement was not being accurately tracked.
  • Corrected a bug where special zombies would still spawn at the marina, even when the special zombie ratio was set to 0%.
  • Added seeds and crackers to the optional ingredients for salad.
  • Allowed empty gas cans to stack in the inventory.

  • Fixed an issue where the 'Treasure Hunter' achievement was not unlocking when acquiring items through drag and drop.
  • Fixed a crash issue that could occur when making salt using sea water.
  • Fixed an OpenGL error that occurred when opening patch notes in high-resolution environments.
  • Added onions to the optional ingredients for the Army Base Stew recipe.

Terminus: Zombie Survivors - Water & Cook Update Out Now! (V0.9.9)



Hey everyone!

I'm thrilled to announce that the Water & Cook update (V0.9.9) is now officially live. You can play the new update on the default branch! A big thank you to everyone who helped with bug reporting and feedback during the beta period.

In this update, I've introduced new water-related content and significantly revamped the cooking system. The additions include a 💧New Thirst System, 🍳Various Cooking Recipes, 🎣Fishing and Fish Trapping, 🛥️Boat Escape Ending, 🏆New Achievements, and more!


[h2]New Thirst System[/h2]



A thirst system has been added to introduce another layer of complexity to survival. Now, gathering and purifying water is essential. Collect rainwater and purify it to ensure your survival!


[h2]Various Cooking Recipes[/h2]



The cooking system has been overhauled! I've added 50 new recipes, like hamburgers and pizza, to better match your resources and situation. Make use of newly added ingredients to cook up diverse dishes!


[h2]Fishing and Fish Trapping[/h2]



New locations like seas and ponds, along with 14 types of seafood, have been added. Now you can use fishing rods and fish traps to catch a variety of seafood. Strategically utilize the new types of seafood to your advantage!


[h2]Boat Escape Ending[/h2]



I've added a new marina place and a Boat Escape Ending. Now, you have another pathway to victory. Set sail towards survival!


[h2]New Achievements[/h2]



36 new Steam Achievements have been added, largely inspired by the community's suggestions. Thank you once again for your invaluable feedback.



In addition to these new features, I've introduced difficulty levels ranging from "Easy" to "Apocalyptic," revamped the farming system to include fertilizers and watering, and introduced a profile level feature. Please check out the full patch notes below for more details.

  • Increased the maximum number of selectable traits from 3 to 4.
  • Changed trait points to increase according to profile level.
  • Adjusted the overall cost of traits to match profile levels.
  • Added titles based on profile levels.
  • Changed all unique occupation traits to be selected by default.
  • Allowed the use of alcohol, cigarettes, and coffee without requiring specific traits.
  • Doubled the morale boost when traits for alcohol, cigarettes, and coffee preferences are selected.
  • Added a hydration system, which replaces the warmth system and affects HP when high or low.
  • Integrated the warmth system into the body temperature system.
  • Lowered the body temperature at which HP starts to decrease from 15°C to 10°C.
  • Allowed for a maximum of 1 HP to be restored per turn when the body temperature is above 15°C.
  • Changed the "wet" condition to affect body temperature instead of warmth (up to a 4°C decrease at 100% wetness).
  • Changed the cold adaptation skill to affect body temperature instead of warmth.
  • Certain amounts of cooked food will temporarily increase body temperature. Lesser amounts may not have this effect.
  • Added an 'Alcohol' meter to the character. Alcohol decreases hydration, and a 'Drunk' state is added if the alcohol level exceeds 5.
  • In the 'Drunk' state, AP recovery and hit chance are decreased.
  • Changed the effect of the Chef's unique skill. Effects of cooking last twice as long at level 3.
  • Changed the Park Ranger's unique skill to 'Cold Endurance,' reducing HP loss due to cold.
  • Changed the required tool for making snares to Pliers.
  • Added the recipe for a makeshift animal trap to the known recipes at the start of the game.
  • The Steel Stomach trait now prevents disease when drinking dirty water, in addition to eating food.
  • On difficulties higher than 'Hard,' special zombies may also appear in the Terminus.
  • Changed burn ointment to ointment and added an HP recovery effect.
  • Increased the initial freshness of food during world creation.
  • Overall, slowed down the rate of food spoilage by approximately 20%.
  • Changed the freshness of cooked food to be more influenced by the freshness of the ingredients.
  • Made the AP needed for cooking vary according to the type and amount of food.
  • Integrated the satiety increase effect, previously based on individual ingredients, into the cooking recipes.
  • Consuming food cooked with spoiled ingredients may cause disease.
  • Crops other than potatoes will yield seeds when harvested at 100% growth.
  • Increased the effect of adding fuel to a campfire from 2 to 6.
  • Allowed boats to be repaired using a wrench, in addition to cars.
  • Disabled the ability to earn achievements when sandbox options are enabled.
  • Changed portable generators to be placed between two tiles, allowing usage from both sides.
  • Reduced the morale recovery effect of the Bible from 1.5 to 1.
  • Increased the effect of the Priest's Devout Reading skill from 2 times to 3 times.
  • Added an effect to the Parkour trait that, besides preventing sprain, also halves the AP cost when passing through windows and fences.
  • Reduced the maximum number of Cat's Eyes that can be obtained from 5 to 4.
  • Changed driving to consume approximately 40% more fuel.
  • Varied melee weapon damage by approximately ±20% depending on durability.
  • Allowed the 'sleep until all status ailments are healed' option to be used in case of headaches and being drunk.
  • Changed the effect of Survival Cooking from 20% to 15%.
  • Changed the fuel effect of map fragments to 0.5.
  • Added wire and nails to the items that can be obtained by breaking furniture.

  • Improved rendering methods to make greater use of OpenGL directly for performance enhancement.


[h2]Sound[/h2]
  • Added ambient sounds. (Waves, boats, etc.)
  • Added sound effects. (Fishing, cooking, fertilizer production, making fishing bait, fertilizing, etc.)


[h2]UI[/h2]
  • Added item icons to the crafting and cooking recipe lists.
  • Added icons above the character when in states of cold, burns, headaches, and drunk.
  • Removed the 'Change Location' button from the action panel and set the 'Cook' button as a fixed button.
  • Only items usable as bait are activated when setting traps.
  • A popup message is displayed to prevent overwriting the vehicle when there is insufficient space during vehicle relocation.
  • Salt and pepper can be dragged to combine.
