Hey everyone. I got notified about some issues overnight, so here is a patch. Check out the change log below!

*Please note that these changes are not in any particular order.*

[h2]BETA Update 1.31.1 Changelog:[/h2]

Bug Fixes:

FIXED a typo causing a crash when shops had weapons/ammo included in their listings
FIXED a bug when talking to Stone which made his quest dialogue not change (Existing saves - just talk to him again about the quest and it'll fix itself)


Changes & Additions:

Increased the reward by about 30% for completing "Up In Arms"
Added loot container spawns to a few more interior areas
Added more predetermined loot to some main plot areas
Added the chance for 1 container to randomly spawn in each exterior city district/sub district zone (This should help with loot and money - especially early game)
Made a few adjustments to money related checks in various dialogues (Made the requirements and bribes a bit easier)
A few other quick tweaks

Here is the next big update for the game. It includes new side quests, bringing to total side quests now to 35, along with some other neat additions! Check out the change log below!

Bug Fixes:

FIXED a bug in combat selection where the main character's and companion's face icons didn't fill up the entire selection rectangle


Changes & Additions:

Added some new Steam Achievements
Added "Lend Me Your Ear" repeatable side quest
Added "Up In Arms" side quest
Added "Reap What You Sow" side quest
Added "Earning A Living" side quest
Ashen Row is now more dangerous (New threats and dangers - No spoilers ;P)
Added some new roleplaying options to some dialogues
Added A LOT of new dialogues and lore
Updated some main plot dialogues with new side plot hooks and mentions
Added Head Down passive Skill (+20% Resistance to being Suppressed)
Added new icon art (A lot of it)
Enemy balance tweaks
Updated world map image
Updated learnable skill lists (Main Character and companions)
Added gasoline ammo type
Added Burn Ointment medical item (Cures burning, +3 health, +1 mettle - I realized that there was no 100% effective method to remove burning on demand so here you go)
Updated shop category organization lists
Updated Molotov recipe
Scavvers now can drop gasoline
All human enemies can now drop burn ointment
Created several new spriteset entities (Going to be mainly used in the future, but you can see some of it now in game on some of the new characters - a special thanks to Acehangman for the help!)
Removed some extra SCPD officers from some areas (I'm trying to make their presence less noticed as intended)
Added The Clouds: Storage Area
Added a new plot related Area (No spoilers)
Added several new plot related items
Added a new shop
Creature items such as rat tails, bat wings, dog fur, etc now have their own individual item weights (They are no longer 1 inv space each, they are much lighter)
Added Soulless ear creature item (Drops from hopeless soul/soulless enemies)
Added some new unique characters to interact with
Added some new scenery in a few areas
Added some new interactable items in some areas related to quests
Added new sprites and faces for several unique characters
Added some new randomized sound effects for both exterior and interior areas
Added a background image to automatically fit behind face graphics in messages and menues (If there are issues with this, let me know)
Updated loot tables
Various other tweaks and adjustments

Hey everyone!

I wanted to do my first ever community contest for Chaos Chain! It will last until December 11th and I will select up to 3 winners on that date!

What I need: (Me, the Dev)
-Gameplay footage showcasing what it is like to play the game (Approximately 5-10 minutes in length)
-Gameplay can be anything from questing, story progression, trading equipment, talking to characters, etc, but it should be a mix
-Appropriate recording for work environments (no foul language or anything that is not suited for all audiences if you provide commentary) of gameplay (Commentary *is* allowed but just gameplay is *preferred*)
-No added (External) music or sound effects (The video should ONLY have the game's music and sound present, I don't want to have to worry about copyright infringement or any other legal issues)
-Editing *is* allowed for the video, the footage does *not* have to be one continuous clip (You can even make it into a trailer for the game if you wish)

What you need: (You, the Player)
-Recording software of your choice
-A copy of the game
-Send the video in at least 720p quality to [email protected] by December 11th
-Include your preferred credits mention in the email (If you win)

What you get in return: (You, the Player)
-A key to all of the support DLCs
-A key to the game to gift to a friend, trade, or use for another account
-A mention in the in game credits
-Possibly even more at my discretion (Wow me and we'll talk)
