Introducing the team behind Blast Brigade



Hi everyone!

Thanks for tuning in and expressing interest in Blast Brigade. We were holding the project under wraps for quite some time and are now super excited to talk about the game and the team behind it. We appreciate all your questions and comments across our social channels (by the way, you can find the links to them below). More of these will be addressed in the dev Q&A planned for next week (spoiler alert: follow us on Twitter and join our Discord to make sure you don’t miss out) but today we just wanted you to learn a bit more about us.

The core team previously worked on several indie titles, including games with platformer and shooter mechanics. Yet, it’s probably best known as the creator of Bombastic Brothers, a mobile game. We had a blast (pun intended!) working on that but ultimately decided to move away from our mobile expertise to new frontiers. We’ve wanted to work on a PC and console title for the longest time, so that’s the direction we decided to stick with. It’s an ambitious goal but all the challenges on our way only motivate us more, so we keep learning and getting better.

Moving from Bombastic, the team also decided to change the genre, focusing on a single-player action adventure. As die-hard fans of platformers and metroidvania games, we decided to allow this passion to drive us and thus came up with our dream project that you now know as Blast Brigade. Along the way, to improve our team’s expertise, we added a bunch of wonderful specialists to our fold (and they love the genre as much as we do!). So now our goal is not just to bring you a truly fun mix of platformer gameplay and metroidvania exploration but also to make the game we as a team would be really proud of. We want to pour countless hours of our own gaming history and insights into a remarkable, unique experience.

The inspiration for Blast Brigade comes from a wide range of both classic titles and contemporary ones. That will be evident in the biomes’ designs, while there will also be Easter eggs referencing our favorite games hidden around the levels . However, the experience we want to create wouldn’t be complete without a concise narrative, delivered with the help of memorable characters and a world fleshed out with well-defined lore. That is something the team also feels really passionately about, and it’s the thing we concentrate on A LOT. Speaking of which, we plan to start telling you more about the game’s setting and superspies very soon - please follow the news so you don’t miss a thing.
