The Most Wonderful Time of the Year Arrives Roaring a V8 Engine

[p]There will be marshmallows for roasting and engines for revving out in the cold with this week’s 20 PTS reward car available from today and until January 1st! [/p][p][/p][p]The 1970 AMC Rebel 'The Machine' with its flamboyant red, white, and blue paint scheme that made as much of a statement as its 340-horsepower V8. From the factory this Rebel was poised as a street legal drag race car and could run mid-14s in the quarter mile, while the distinctive ram-air hood scoop and hood-mounted tachometer contributed to its performance-minded attitude. [/p][p] [/p][p]By earning 20 PTS on this week’s Festival Playlist, you can expand your garage with this delightfully different muscle car from AMC, a manufacturer notorious for taking on the big three in its own way with performance that could give the big boys a run for their money. Now you can prove that it’s the definitive pony car in Forza Horizon 5 – see you at the drag strip! [/p][p]Here’s a look at the Seasonal Rewards for this week: [/p]
  • [p]20 PTS: 1970 AMC Rebel 'The Machine' [/p]
  • [p]40 PTS: Backstage Pass [/p]
[p]Flex those muscles with the most powerful muscle car in production, the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. Purpose-built for drag racing with a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 under the hood, the 840 horses are certain to get you across every finish line faster than your competitors will realize. It’s also rare too, with only 3,300 ever produced. Celebrate this iconic car that harkens back to the legendary pony days in the Weekly Forzathon Challenge. [/p][p] [/p][p]That’s it for Horizon Holidays. We wish you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas! Enjoy the celebrations and gather with your most special people tonight. Don’t worry, the Horizon Festival will be waiting for you to return and keep on racing, earning points, and unlocking rewards! [/p][p][/p][p][/p]

The Holiday Season is no Stranger to Backstage Battles!

[p]Pick your favorite crew to celebrate the holidays during this week’s Horizon Backstage Vote. This time, we are featuring two teams made up of a powerful drag-racing monster and a super slick GT racer. [/p][p][/p][p]Previously available during the Apex Allstars update, the former NHRA champion is eager to make its way back to the Horizon Festival. Famous for its huge nose and for completing a quarter-mile drag race in 6 seconds, the 2013 Chevrolet Summit Racing Pro Stock Camaro wants to rule the Street Scene yet again. Completing this team, a car that’s, at least in theory, capable of driving upside down, the 2004 Saleen S7! Even though this car is a “tuned-down” version of the S7R, it still packs a serious punch with its impressive 750 bhp and supreme downforce.  [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Sporting a 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine, the first car on this second team takes the very best of some of Dodge’s biggest hitters. Enjoy the wonderfully raw power of the 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock. Balance and grip define this car and make it a very fitting member of the second team. Sporting a naturally aspirated V6 engine and 290 bhp, the 2005 Honda NSX-R GT is a super exclusive JDM beauty that you can now have in your garage. [/p][p][/p][p][/p]

A Firebird to Keep You Warm and Cozy is Available to Unlock!

[p]Keep celebrating this holiday season with the best gift of them all: fast muscle cars of the seventies!  [/p][p][/p][p]The third week of Horizon Holidays will let you get behind the wheel of the last stand of the muscle car era: the 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455. Creating this car was a feat on its own: since the OPEC oil embargo was at its peak, Pontiac’s engineers wanted to build a fast car, but they needed it to be emission friendly. Not only did they manage to do both, but they also created an iconic engine of the era: the Super Duty 455. Earn 20 PTS on the Festival Playlist to taste the power of the Firebird, the last (and one of the greatest) true muscle cars!  [/p][p] [/p][p]After you unlock the Firebird for 20 PTS, keep racking up those points to get another Backstage Pass and unlock any car available at the Horizon Backstage. [/p]
  • [p]20 PTS: 2013 Cadillac XTS Limousine [/p]
  • [p]40 PTS: Backstage Pass [/p]
[p]Our Festive challenges continue with GT Deny - It's A Big Christmas EventLab featuring the "Ho, Ho, Ho" Forza Link as a reward. [/p][p]Pack your sunscreen (and maybe a warm hoodie) to visit Cabo San Lucas and photograph the hidden Snowman collectible at the Buenas Vistas Player House. [/p][p] [/p][p]That’s everything in store for this penultimate week of the Horizon Holidays. Discuss these events and rewards over on our official Discord. Make sure you check out our holiday events on our server and social accounts: Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). [/p][p]The holidays are fast approaching! Make sure you invite your favorite people to a race at your favorite holiday locations like the Ice Rink or Winter Wonderland, both available in Horizon Realms. See you at the Horizon Festival.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Massive Engines Meet Classic Sports Cars!

[p]This week we have two cars with huge engines partnering with a couple of retro sports cars on the Horizon Backstage Vote. Only one pair can reach the Horizon Backstage, and the choice is yours; vote in-game now!

A big mansion on wheels shows up at this week’s duel first. Sporting a huge 6.75-liter V8 turbocharged engine, the 1991 Bentley Turbo R brings all of its power to score your vote. Partnering with this luxury behemoth, the 1965 Toyota Sports 800 is a tiny titan designed by Shozo Sato and Tatsuo Hasegawa to be one of (if not the most) aerodynamic cars of its time.

The second team’s burly bruiser is the 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500 E, a luxury sedan designed to have the lowest drag coefficient of its era. Not only was this Merc built to impress with its looks, its 5.0-liter V8 engine will also feature in your dreams for days. The final car featured in this week’s Backstage Vote is the 1964 Porsche 356 C Cabriolet Emory Special, customized and revamped with the Emory-Rothsport Outlaw-4 engine and new looks.

Lock in your vote today![/p][p][/p][p][/p]
