Celebrating Excellence in EventLab: 2024 Golden Tank Award Winners

Welcome to the third annual Golden Tank Awards—a celebration of the finest EventLab creations, published by players like you! Five winners in five different categories will take home the prestigious Golden Tank Award in recognition of their amazing contributions to the game.

Every year our community surprises us with creations we could never have imagined seeing in Forza Horizon 5. We are always thrilled to see how creators use the props, tools, and environments we provide to create something amazing.

In December 2024, after we selected our initial nominees per category, we asked you to vote for your favorite EventLab creations. Today, we are finally announcing our winners!
Festival Playlist

2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock
One of the mightiest modern muscle cars shows up to blast the Street Racing scene as a reward car for Midnight Muscle. Taking the best from the Demon, the Hellcat, and the Redeye, say hello to the 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock.

The 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine (same engine you can find in the Redeye) looks better than ever fitted inside a widebody kit. Some computer tuning and the already amazing engine now produces 807 horsepower.

Dodge made sure the Super Stock could master more than one type of racing fitting it with an adaptive shock system that helps the car perform like a grand tourer on the track, and to obliterate competition on drag races.

Show how well this car performs underneath the neon lit Horizon Festival!
1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R
A muscle car built for endurance racing; the 1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R is a road legal racing monster purchasable only by licensed racers.

This new model of the SVT Cobra was fitted with an even larger engine than its predecessor. The Cobra R came with a 5.8-liter V8 engine that produces 300 horsepower, making it the most powerful pony available at the time.

Only 250 units of the SVT Cobra R were built, and you could only buy them if you had intentions of running them on the track for endurance events. Making sure every copy of this car has one clear target: secure a win for the American car maker.

What’s cooler than a snake badge? Try a snake wrapped around a blood-red R.
Race Under the Neon Lights
Buckle up and start your engines to race underneath the neon lights decorating racing events this series.

To enjoy the neon-lit scenery, the extended night cycles make a triumphant return as well!

Aeródromo en la Selva becomes shrouded in lights once more as neon decorations and the Drone Show from Midnights at Horizons returns to this iconic location.

If those features aren’t as bright for you, there’s still more coming. The Neon Tank Photo Decorations are coming back for Photo Challenges during the four weeks of Midnight Muscle. Travel to the Horizon Street Scene Outpost in week four to find and smash the Neon Cube Collectible!

Vote for the Festival Playlists You Want to Play on Forza Horizon 5!

Starting January 30, 2025, our community will choose the Festival Playlist theme for the following month. A new “Playlist Vote” section will replace the “Coming Soon” screen and will let players vote for one of two previously released Festival Playlist options they want to play next month (similar to how Horizon Backstage voting works). Voting will start in Summer (First week) of each Series and closes at the end of Winter (Third week). Once voting ends, the "Playlist Vote" tab will display the winner of the vote for the duration of Spring (Fourth Week).

It’s worth noting that some changes have been made to the Festival Playlists, so they might not be exactly as you played them the first time. New EventLab maps different than the ones on the original version of each Playlist will be featured on each Playlist. Backstage Pass rewards will also be added so you can unlock and experience previous exclusive and hard-to-find cars at the Backstage Shop. Playlists that didn't feature our Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions will now include events that take place in those environments.

The first showdown will be between High Performance and Italian Automotive. Make sure to cast your vote and pick the challenges you want to play the most, Evolving World environments you haven’t experienced, or the rewards you haven’t unlocked yet.

There’s still more coming to Forza Horizon 5 in the near future! While we are getting that ready, we hope veteran players will enjoy this trip down memory lane, and that new players will enjoy the unique looks and features the Horizon Festival has worn for the past three years!

Stay tuned to more news on our official Instagram and Twitter/X accounts, join our official Discord server, and sign up to get the latest news and announcements delivered straight to your inbox via our Newsletter.

Keep adventuring across Mexico and don’t forget to vote for the upcoming Festival Playlists.

We have more news about Forza Horizon 5 coming in the future. See you soon!
