The Winter “Dry” season arrives in Forza Horizon 5 with the 1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 as this week’s featured reward car. Available through Thursday, February 23 and unlockable for 20 PTS on the Festival Playlist, you too can experience the platform that Mitsubishi developed its impeccable AWD system and, in the process, won no less than six rally championships.

The VR-4 ignites off the line, cuts into corners, and brakes with precision. If you’re looking to build your next rally legend, this JDM classic is the perfect candidate. One look at the VR-4 equipped with the bull bar, the huge halogen fog lamps and roof vents while dressed in its classic Mitsubishi race livery make it obvious this car means business.

This week sees the arrival of the 1995 Toyota MR2 GT in Forza Horizon 5. Mounted behind its seats is a 2.0-liter, 241-horsepower engine with a five-speed gearbox. Such incredible numbers put it on equal footing with cars like the Ferrari 348. In 1995, the MR2 ended its production run due to rising prices and insurance premiums, which makes this model especially prized by car collectors.

Just before the holiday break, we invited you to submit your favorite EventLab creations of 2022 for consideration in our first ever Golden Tank Awards! Named after our beloved mascot at Horizon Mexico, we’ve been so inspired by the talent and creativity on display in EventLab ever since Forza Horizon 5 released that it only felt fitting to bring it all together for this special occasion.

The community were invited to nominate events across five categories:

• Best Custom Ruleset
  
• EventLab Creation of the Year

And the entries certainly didn’t disappoint! Our team had so much fun playing them all. With an incredible level of creativity and passion on display, we created a short-list of our favorites inspired by your submissions before selecting the overall winner.

Get ready for the ultimate road-trip through Mexico while behind the wheel of a JDM legend. This week’s Festival Playlist celebrates fifty years of heritage with the all-new 2023 Nissan Z. By earning 20 PTS in the Summer “Wet” season, you can put its 3-liter twin-turbo V6 to the test and experience 400-horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque!

The 2023 Nissan Z also features in our Monthly Rivals, where you’re invited to post a clean lap time on the Plaza Circuit. Meanwhile, over in Forza EV, get ready to master the all-electric 2019 Rimac Concept 2 on the Tierra Prospera Circuit. These monthly events are available until the series ends on Thursday, March 2. That’s also the same date that you’ll need to have unlocked the overall series reward cars by:

• 80 PTS: 2020 Nissan GT-R NISMO
  
• 160 PTS: 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B-Sti Version
