Forza Horizon 5 News

With nearly 900 cars available in the game, over 40 thematic game updates, two expansions, and so much more content, our team is excited to announce that this spring, PlayStation 5 players will be able to explore Mexico’s beautiful roads and experience the Horizon Festival for the first time as we are officially launching Forza Horizon 5 on PS5.



The PlayStation 5 version of Forza Horizon 5, developed by Panic Button in partnership with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games, will have the same content as the Xbox and PC releases of the game. Previously released Car Packs, as well as the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions, will also be available for purchase.

We are excited to see the Forza Horizon 5 community grow with new players on PS5, and we can’t wait to see the creativity and skill these new creators, builders, and racers will bring to our vibrant community.



In addition to bringing Forza Horizon 5 to PS5, we’re working on a special new free content update for all platforms, Horizon Realms. Realms will give players the chance to explore a curated collection of some of the community’s favorite previously released Evolving Worlds, alongside some other surprises. Stay tuned to our channels for more details soon.



Wishlist Forza Horizon 5 on the PlayStation Store today to stay informed about updates and release times. If you already own the game on another platform, share the news with your friends in the PS5 community and tell them to get ready to join your convoys as cross-play will be available for all Forza Horizon 5 players across Xbox consoles, PC and PS5.

What happens when you put together the best parts of the Demon, the Hellcat and the Redeye? You get one of the mightiest muscle cars ever built, the 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock.

This stone soup of a car features the Redye’s 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine with some computer tuning now puts out 807 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque.

Designing this car with the best features of the Dodge’s past Muscle Car hits meant fitting it with the capability to drag race and perform on the track just as good.

Welcome to the third annual Golden Tank Awards—a celebration of the finest EventLab creations, published by players like you! Five winners in five different categories will take home the prestigious Golden Tank Award in recognition of their amazing contributions to the game.

Every year our community surprises us with creations we could never have imagined seeing in Forza Horizon 5. We are always thrilled to see how creators use the props, tools, and environments we provide to create something amazing.

In December 2024, after we selected our initial nominees per category, we asked you to vote for your favorite EventLab creations. Today, we are finally announcing our winners!

[h3]2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock[/h3]

One of the mightiest modern muscle cars shows up to blast the Street Racing scene as a reward car for Midnight Muscle. Taking the best from the Demon, the Hellcat, and the Redeye, say hello to the 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock.

The 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine (same engine you can find in the Redeye) looks better than ever fitted inside a widebody kit. Some computer tuning and the already amazing engine now produces 807 horsepower.

Dodge made sure the Super Stock could master more than one type of racing fitting it with an adaptive shock system that helps the car perform like a grand tourer on the track, and to obliterate competition on drag races.

[h3]1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R [/h3]
A muscle car built for endurance racing; the 1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R is a road legal racing monster purchasable only by licensed racers.

This new model of the SVT Cobra was fitted with an even larger engine than its predecessor. The Cobra R came with a 5.8-liter V8 engine that produces 300 horsepower, making it the most powerful pony available at the time.

Only 250 units of the SVT Cobra R were built, and you could only buy them if you had intentions of running them on the track for endurance events. Making sure every copy of this car has one clear target: secure a win for the American car maker.

What’s cooler than a snake badge? Try a snake wrapped around a blood-red R.

Time to flex and to race in Forza Horizon 5’s latest update: Midnight Muscle. This series brings back some fan-favorite Evolving World features such as the extended night cycles, Neon Airstrip, and neon decorations in racing events.

Unlock two muscle cars from the modern era on Midnight Muscles Festival Playlist.

A brand-new feature will let you pick your favorite cinematic Start Screen from previous Forza Horizon 5 content updates.

Midnight Muscle also introduces the Festival Playlist Voting which lets players vote between two prior Festival Playlist to return to the game during the following month.

[h2]Cinematic Start Screen Selection[/h2]
Available from January 28, players will be able to select their favorite Start Screen video from a curated list of favorites.

Your selected cinematic will replace the traditional “Welcome to Mexico” default screen every time you boot the game.

Players will be able to choose the following cinematics:

If you can’t choose your favorite (we know how difficult it must be), there will also be a Shuffle option available which will automatically choose a different video every time you start the game.

[h2]Festival Playlist Voting[/h2]
From January 30 onward, our community will vote between two previous Festival Playlists they want to replay next month!

Head over to the “Playlist Vote” section (which replaces the Coming Soon section) and vote for one of two previous Festival Playlist options. The one with the most votes will be available to play in Forza Horizon 5 for the next 4 weeks. Voting starts on the first week of each series. The winner will be announced with a dedicated screen as week 4 starts

The first Playlists available for voting will be Italian Automotive and High Performance, make sure to cast your vote before time ends!

[h2]Race Under the Neon Lights[/h2]



Buckle up and start your engines to race underneath the neon lights decorating racing events this series.

To enjoy the neon-lit scenery, the extended night cycles make a triumphant return as well!

Aeródromo en la Selva becomes shrouded in lights once more as neon decorations and the Drone Show from Midnights at Horizons returns to this iconic location.

If those features aren’t as bright for you, there’s still more coming. The Neon Tank Photo Decorations are coming back for Photo Challenges during the four weeks of Midnight Muscle. Travel to the Horizon Street Scene Outpost in week four to find and smash the Neon Cube Collectible!
