Dreadhunter News

One Year!

It's been a looong year for us. After a bumpy Early Access release a year ago, it was clear that the game needed much more work to meet the quality standards expected by Steam users. We have been collecting feedback and continuously improving the game, which has already started to reflect in recent reviews.

Here’s a list of what has already been added to Dreadhunter:

  • Combat overhaul
  • Environments overhaul
  • Entirely new skill tree
  • Extended Ability trees
  • Modding
  • Shop and stash
  • New items
  • New abilities
  • New enemies
  • New bosses
  • Act 2 story, missions and a new final boss
  • Improved enemy density
  • Keybindings
  • Steam save
  • Various UI, sounds, animation improvements

But we're not done yet! Here’s our midterm plan:
  • Act 3 is in full production and will most likely be released in early 2025.
  • About 30 new items are in development, bringing entirely new sets and gameplay mechanics.
  • New monsters will be added, we know you’re eager to face new foes.
  • New nodes for the skill tree and weapon mods are coming.
  • There's a list of quality of life features we would like to implement somewhere down the road like proper Graphics settins, Multiple saves system

Many thanks to all the players who bought the game and supported our efforts, despite the lengthy discussions about the game’s price on our forum. We truly appreciate that you see the potential of what we’re building, and we're doing everything we can to make sure you enjoy the hunt!

By the way, here on Steam, we share news about features that are already in the game. If you’d like to see what we’re working on behind the scenes, check out our social networks (YouTube, X, Threads, Instagram) for sneak peeks of what’s cooking.

Environments - Round 2

We continue to detail the game environments, and Dreadhunter also received a materials overhaul. Thanks to this, you can finally zoom in on the main character in the inventory and properly view your gear.

Note: We've updated the engine to newer version, it may cause some initial stuttering due to shader recompilation.

Do you want more missions, monsters, items, abilities, endgame content, or any specific feature or setting options?

We understand the overall answer might be simply YES , but if you have a particular preference, feel free to let us know!
