And one of the most – repeating request was… PLEASE make a directional blow system. For now it is good, but it is like in all the AAA RPGs. Spam left and live.
So we did – but we took it a step forward.

One-handed and two-handed weapon. We have like in Gothic 2 – the same animations for sword, axes, and blunt weapons. But to make it a little sweater. We have designed a vulnerability system to make those types actually mean something.
So we parted the weapons in three types.
And there are groups of animals that are vulnerable to different weapons types. That means if you want to deal more DMG to them, use a certain type.
- Sword for Fur Animals,
- Blunt weapon for Bugs,
- Axes for armored Animals,
First we designed a system – that is based on the old good Gothic. So the character has 3 levels of mastery, and crossing certain lines gives you new animations. But we wanted something in which the players have to learn with the character to fully use and experience the game possibilities.
So when you press right – you character does the right blow, when you press left the character does the left blow, when you press top --- than nothing hapends. Because you are not a warrior yet.
So deeper you are in the game, the better your character is – the more you can do – and the more you have to learn – because behind this directional blows. There is a big combo system.
For the 1 level, you have only one combo. The combo gives you a DMG boost, sometimes a special skill like knocking your opponent down. So in many cases you will have to use it – to win a fight.
On the second level we are now we have 3 combos. So the fun grows.
And on the third level we go up to 7 combos.
one-handed weapon type. Has also the strong mode. You press shift and then you deliver slower but much stronger blows. We are reworking it to hold down the left mouse for a while.
And that's it. I think one of the most interesting combat systems out there are in RPG games. Of course, it can be made better, smoother, nicer, but for that we need the money from selling farathan 1.
