SANABI Official Release & Final Test

Hello, this is Wonder Potion, the developers of SANABI.

It’s been a while since our last update!

Since our last roadmap announcement 3 months ago, we have been fully dedicated to the final stages of SANABI’s development. We would like to share an update on the development progress, especially regarding the official release schedule.

First and foremost, we would like to give our sincerest apology for being unable to fulfill our promise regarding the official release date. There has been a delay in our development due to build optimization, preparing for a Nintendo release, going through certification processes, and other crucial final tasks. As a result, the official release of SANABI has been postponed until early November. We apologize for disappointing our dedicated fans who have been eagerly awaiting the official release of SANABI. We truly appreciate your love and support for our game, and we are deeply sorry to let you down.

In an effort to fulfill at least a part of our promise to our players, we have decided to share the Final Beta version of SANABI for those who have purchased the Early Access. The Final Beta version will include a significant portion of the story and boss battles, enabling players to experience one of the two endings from the full game. The Beta version is scheduled to be available on Steam on August 8th.

A year ago, we released the Early Access version of SANABI, and it has received overwhelming love from the players. And today, we are sincerely grateful and sorry to share this news. The best way to compensate and repay our fans is to deliver an exceptional gaming experience. We will continue to work diligently to ensure that SANABI becomes a game that remains in your hearts for a long time.

Thank you for your understanding and unwavering support.

With warmest regards,
Wonder Potion.

SANABI Development Plan Announcement

Hello there! It's the SANABI team.
It has been a while since our last announcement.

Recently, we were able to share snip bits of our new content through the first and second Beta versions.
Many players participated in the beta and provided us with much valuable feedback.
The feedback and suggestions regarding the difficulty of the game will be taken into consideration, and we promise that they will be put to good use by the time we release the full version.

As our roadmap currently only covers until March, we have updated it to better reflect our plans until the full release.
Roadmap
We plan to follow the roadmap accordingly and expect the official release to be in August.
We apologize for the delayed official release date and want to show our appreciation for your patience. We promise to do our best to meet your expectations.

We sincerely thank every one of our fans for their continued support and love, and we'll work hard to make sure we deliver the best we can.

Thank you,
The SANABI team.

SANABI 2nd Beta Version Update Announcement

Hello,
It's the SANABI team!

The Beta version has been updated today!
Please check below for the details.
Changes Made

Chapter 3
1. Laser Bot and Laser Shooter

- We received much feedback regarding the previous laser damage. Instadeath was an unfair mechanic and increased the game's difficulty more than our expectations
- Instadeath from all lasers has been removed and now will inflict 1 amount of damage to the player

2. Switch

- More detailed appearances and varieties of switches have been added. We anticipate this will be more intuitive for which switches are used to interact with which certain gimmicks in Chapter 3

3. Clones

- Clones are robots that can be controlled by pressing the interaction key (Default: F)m once the player is close enough
- Clones can be destroyed even with a single blow but allow the player to enter unreachable areas to activate certain gimmicks

4. Press Switch

- A large switch that is activated while a clone or the player is stepping on it
Chapter 4
1. New Ability: Charge Dash

- Can be executed using the same key for Swing Dash(Shift, B key on controllers), after charging a certain amount of time it grants the player the ability to dash toward a nearby object at a high velocity.
- Able to knock-back some gimmicks in Chapter 4 and allows the player to take down certain enemies that can not be defeated normally.

2. Knockback-able Objects

- Objects that can be knockedbacked by the player's Charge Dash. Utilise your abilities to place objects in the right place and crave your very own path.

3. Armoured Enemies

- Enemies that will appear in Chapter 4 are heavily armed and armoured. Unlike the enemies you have already faced, a frontal assault on these enemies will not work, utilise the terrain and objects to create an opening.
Key Notes
1. This build only contains the playable levels, elements from the story nor events are not included.

SANABI News & Updated Roadmap

Hey everyone,
It’s Team SANABI.

First, Happy New Year!
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday with loved ones and a great start to 2023.

We’ve been deeply into developing the game day and night to offer the best gaming experience for our community, but also have somber news to deliver.

One of our developers recently had an accident and the overall workflow needs to be adjusted.
Fortunately, our teammate is recovering with a positive pace, but it is unavoidable for us to reconsider our original plans.
Thus, we have decided to push the official release which was originally scheduled for Q1.

Now shifting to a brighter topic. Since our last Beta version, we received a lot of valuable feedback and decided to have another beta test to gather more feedback.

Though the extended development period was due to the accident, the team wants to deliver the game with top-notch quality with the additional time that we have. To do so, we think it’s best to have another beta test to hear all the voices and concerns from our community.
We will do our best to improve the game in every area including the difficulty, balance, control, system, etc. until the official release.

We’ll be back with the exact date and details of the 2nd Beta Test in February.

Please find the updated development roadmap below.

Thanks again for your huge support and please continue the journey with us until the full release. We will do our best to give you the most entertaining experience.
