Devlog | Normandy

Builders!
We know that you loved our area series and were patiently waiting for the next updates on that - so we're back!
As you might know - it's Normandy week here, so introducing - Normandy.

According to history pages, landing in Normandy can be considered the biggest success during WW2, that had begun the victorious march to Berlin. This operation was able to be successful thanks to thorough and strict preparations, including counterintelligence operations that cause the enemy being unaware of the upcoming attack.
That didn't change the fact that the Nazis have had quite fenced the coastline of Normandy - series of bunkers and trenches were placed through thousands of kilometers, supply depots were full of ammunition and coastal villages were used as stationers for the garrisons. A battery of anti-aircraft guns was put near the city of Longues-sur-Mer able to protect the area, including the beach and sea area in 2-kilometer radius. The information about next targets were sent from the observational bunker that was inserted in a small cliff closer to the sea. Except for that, in the fortification area was placed an ammunition bunker and small Tobruk-type bunker with machine guns and mortar sockets in them. For about and a day the complex was able to withhold the alliance far from its perimeter, but thanks to heavy bombing that had destroyed the infrastructure, the crew had surrendered.
After winning over the coastline, the alliance forces were pushing through the land to free the French villages and cities. It was often for them to see the magnitude of destruction caused by their own bombing on civilian structures while attacking Nazi bunkers. In the destroyed cities they could find the rest of the German forces - even after the surrender they could find some lone snipers harassing the alliance forces.

Okay, so what's interesting about our map that was created based on Normandy?

You've repaired that arched gate? Nice work!

It's always destroy, but when it's rebuilding time? Well how bout now on this church nave?

Remember Harvest Moon? This is how it looks now - feel old yet? Now find those seeds and get to work!

And here's before and after picture of the bunkers if you missed it this week - our latest improvements.

Thanks for being with us during this journey, and we hope you're excited for upcoming stuff!

Of fixes, hard work and some optimisation...

Dear builders!

We know that you cannot wait for the day when the release will finally come, and we do too! But to share with you our final results, the whole process takes time and work.
Of course to not keep you waiting in futile anticipation, you can watch the preview gameplays on YT to see how much progress had been made.
And to prove you that we didn't waste time, just this week we:
• fixed some crashes and bugs and improved few visuals, added some sound effects.
Other than that:
• pressing CTRL detects interactions for all tools instead of like until now – just the selected one + hand
 • hidden quests are now displayed in the log as "???" to give the player a sign that if they look for it, they will still find the quest on the map
 • added location tags for phone, containers and stores
 • automatic change in the mission panel (top left corner) to the next mission type if the player has just completed the last quest from the open category. For example: last side mission got completed, so it will switch the panel to side missions, so you don’t have to spam "U".
 • added rotation of ceiling props (lights)
This and more ahead of us!

Hope that our transparency will be as informative for you as we want it to be. Again, we thank you from the bottom of our heart for your support and patience. Your kind words and patience really help us push through any obstacles and issues that we come across.

We also encourage you to add the upcoming WW2 Rebuilder to your Wishlist.
