Colonize 1.0: The Grand Voyage!
[h3]The Long Journey to 1.0[/h3][p]Hello Colonists![/p][p]Today is a day we’ve been dreaming of since we first typed the first lines of code for Colonize. We are beyond excited (and a little bit nervous!) to announce that Colonize 1.0 is officially here.[/p][p]This journey has been an incredible learning experience for us. As an indie team of only two people, building our very first PC game has been a mountain of a challenge, but seeing you all play, provide feedback, and build your settlements has made every late night worth it.[/p][h3]What’s New in 1.0?[/h3][p]Over the last year, we haven't just been "polishing"—we’ve been under the hood, updating the engine of the game to ensure it’s the best version possible.[/p]
- [p]100+ Bug Fixes: We’ve scoured every corner of the game to squash over 100 bugs reported by the community and found during our internal testing.[/p]
- [p]Engine & Performance: We updated the entire Unity project twice to take advantage of the latest stability and performance improvements.[/p]
- [p]Asset Optimization: We’ve meticulously optimized textures, environmental assets, and our citizen models to ensure smoother framerates, even as your colonies grow.[/p]
- [p]New AI Navigation: Your citizens are now smarter and more efficient, with a completely revamped navigation system that handles complex colony layouts much better.[/p]
- [p]The Trade Window: We’ve designed and implemented a brand-new trade window from the ground up to make commerce more intuitive and rewarding.[/p]
