Patch #2 | v.1.1.0

Survivors,

With our second patch, we're introducing a feature that was wished a lot by the Community. You're now able to demolish Buildings, so you can make space free again and build buildings wherever you want now. Of course, this patch also includes some fixes. If you encounter any issues, please report them to us, so we can investigate them.

Attention: Some of these changes (especially the Stasis one) may not apply to already existing saves. We're still working on fixing the issue for existing savegames as well.



[h3]New Feature[/h3]

  • Demolish Buildings: When you're entering building mode, you will see an X icon next to the building, which allows you to remove the building and all structures inside at once. Demolishing buildings will give resources back.


[h3]Gameplay & Balance Adjustments[/h3]

  • Anti-stasis masks and consumables should now properly protect against stasis


[h3]World & Quest Fixes:[/h3]

Navigation Improvements:

  • Navigation improvements in Wasteland and Eden City



Quest Enhancements:

  • Fixed Quest "First Job": The gangster's faction at school has been fixed to prevent the player from killing them before the quest starts.
  • Fixed Quest "The Spy": Fixed the aggro for gangsters in the quest Kill Dagan Obi.




Of course, this is not the end, and we're working on the next updates already. Hotfix #1 | v1.0.3

Edit from 9pm CEST:
Due to unexpected side effects, we had to revert back to 1.0.2 for now. We’re investigating and will update as soon as possible.

Survivors,

The first Hotfix is here, and it focuses on three recent issues some players encountered. The Intro should load properly again now, as well as you should be able to leave your camp for expedition again. Also, the Lumber Mill had some navigation issues, that were fixed.



[h3]Fixes[/h3]

  • The coded format for all videos were changed, including the story trailer, attack on camp and tutorial videos. This should fix the issues with videos that weren't loading.
  • We've fixed an issue, that could cause the game to completely freeze when trying to exit the camp for an expedition.
  • We've fixed some navigation issues with the Lumber Mill on Level 2 and 3. The survivors should now be able to start their work as intended.




If you stumble across any (potential) issues, please keep reporting them to us, so we can investigate and fix them.

We will keep working on improving the game, and providing updates. We saw, and still see, your feedback and your reports, so be assured, that we're discussing and/or working on the topics you're sharing with us. Patch #1 | v1.0.2 is available now!

Survivors,

With our first patch, we've focussed especially on the crashes that are happening to some players, as well as other adjustments, for example the degradation of buildings in your Camp, or the warehouse storage sizes. We hope you're now able to load your save games properly now - and if not, please report any issues to us, so we can investigate and fix this.



[h3]Stability Improvements[/h3]

  • We have fixed issues, that could cause your save games not being able to load and your game to crash. With this, we've also improved the stability of the game.
  • We have improved the saving system, so it's clearer that the game is saving.
  • With these improvements to the saving system, we've also implemented safeguards against corrupted saves.


Attention: If you left the game, while the game was still saving, your savegame might be completely corrupted, and it's not possible to fix these on our end. So, if you're not able to load your game now, it might be related to this.

[h3]New Features[/h3]

  • Structures at levels 2 and 3 now have 2 and 3 trinket slots, respectively.


[h3]Gameplay & Balance Adjustments[/h3]

  • Bigger warehouse storage for water, materials, and fuel (~20% increase)
  • Canceling an unfinished structure returns resources
  • Faster and cheaper crafting for items and meals.
  • Increased resource availability: more wood and added scrap, plastic, and rubble at gathering spots.
  • Reduced resource costs for repairs and structure upgrades
  • Structures degrade significantly slower
  • Settlers now move around 25% faster and gather double the resources per action.


[h3]World & Quest Fixes:[/h3]

Navigation Improvements:

  • Addressed multiple navigation issues

  • Fixed map markers for some quests
  • Improved faction reputation tracking

Survivors,

Last week we were finally able to share Survive the Fall with you. The project that we've been working on for four years. In the meantime, a few days have passed, and you've asked us lots of questions, inundated us with feedback and told us what's perhaps not going so well - and we'd like to thank you very much for that! Rest assured that we read every post and every review from you and take them to heart, even if we may not (be able to) reply to every single one.

You've shared over 140 positive reviews with us, spent over 5 hours in the game on an average, and peaked with 1,400 CCU (Concurrent Users). Also, over 5,800 are actively playing on a daily basis at the moment.

That's really, really great, and we're endlessly grateful for this. Honestly, it’s thanks to this amazing community — seriously one of the best — that we’re able to keep pushing the game forward.

Of course, you are now curious about the next steps we are planning for Survive the Fall and what is still to come. We are already working on the first big update, which we hope to be able to share with you soon - we still have to test it, of course, to make sure that nothing breaks during the update. This means we can't give you an estimate of when we'll release this update, but be sure we're doing everything we can to get it out as soon as possible.





We can give you a rough idea of the content and improvements already, though. We'll go into more detail once the update is available. :)

  • Level 2 and 3 structures in the camp will have 2 and 3 places for trinkets.
  • The navigation of characters will be fixed on all maps.
  • Characters were able to fall through the terrain in some locations - this will be fixed.
  • A lot of possible issues with crashes will be fixed.
  • The break-up rate for structures will be adjusted - they will take 2–3 times longer to break (depending on the structure).
  • Warehouse sizes for multiple resources will be increased.
  • Default storage size for water, materials and fuel will be increased.
  • The backpack size for starting characters on expeditions will be increased.
  • Camp structures will need less resources.
  • ...and many more fixes and adjustments!
